W H A T H A P P E N E D I N T H E E P I S O D E ?
The episode begins with Deepali telling everyone that she is not coming to the wedding as they have kept Devak at home and the home cannot be closed so someone has to stay back.
Sumi asks if someone else cannot stay back to which Deepali responds by saying that there is nobody else – All of these people are Bhaskar’s relatives who have come here for his wedding. I cannot ask any of them to stay back.
Nikhil suggests that they should leave now. Kukki nods. Nikhil is about to leave to get the car out to which Bhaskar is quick to oppose, saying that their home is just two houses away. They can just walk but Amey adds that they cannot take the groom by walking on his feet.
Everyone insists on Deepali to come to the wedding but she continues to deny, reasoning that she has to prepare for Bhaskar and Babi Aatya’s Griha Pravesh. Bhaskar asks her to do all the preparation now itself but she denies it again, adding that she is a bit tired after doing the wedding preparations. She says that she will rest a bit till the time they return from the wedding.
Ovi insists on staying back with Deepali but the latter tells her that she must go and enjoy on her behalf as well. Deepali asks Manasi to congratulate Babi Aatya on her behalf to which Manasi readily nods. Amey says that Deepali can herself congratulate Babi Aatya once she comes home after marrying Bhaskar. Deepali agrees with a smile.
When Kukki tries to take Ovi along with himself, she rushes out by sternly telling him that she is not a kid anymore. Deepali apologizes on her behalf, assuring them that Ovi’s mood will get better in the wedding atmosphere.
As everyone leaves, Deepali stands alone with tears in her eyes – stay happy, Bhaskar. Now it’s not possible for us to meet ever.
On the other hand, Apurva stubbornly brings Babi Aatya outside to get her to dance and enjoy with Bhaskar.
Later when the wedding rites begin, Apurva asks Sumi why Babi Aatya is sitting the way she is sitting.
Sumi – She is blushing. Today is her wedding, no? Brides get shy at their wedding.
Apurva – Eh? That is not true. Where was I blushing at my wedding? I don’t even know how to blush.
Sumi – Hmm, okay tell me how do you feel when Shashank Dada praises you for something or when he becomes your teddy?
Sumi’s words bring back sweet memories and automatically paint Apurva’s cheeks in a crimson blush.
Sumi nudges Apurva who can’t resist the smile playing on her lips. As she lowers her gaze, Sumi laughs – that is precisely what blushing is. Apurva quickly shrugs it off, adding that – nah. He just fights with me.
The scene shifts to Amey, Kukki and Shashank. Kukki poses in front of Shashank who is busy clicking pictures. Shashank clicks one picture and says that it should be enough. As the duo catches him capturing Apurva in his camera, they make the best out of the opportunity to tease him.
Amey – Wow, Appu is looking so beautiful today, isn’t she?
Kukki – Today? Appu always looks beautiful but you know what, Amey – today is Babi Aatya’s wedding. It is expected to click her the most but something different is happening here. Someone is just capturing his wife in his camera.
Amey – Who?
Shashank – I am clicking Babi Aatya’s pictures only. Now if Apurva is there… she is bound to come in the pictures. Even Sumi is there. In fact, do one thing – take the camera and click one picture of Babi Aatya by excluding everyone who is around her.
Amey and Kukki stop him when he starts taking the camera off as Amey states – photography is your additional skill. You do that. But what I am saying is – if we are clicking our wife’s pictures – why hesitate to admit it? Should just accept that yes I am clicking my wife’s pictures.
Kukki – Exactly. Why be afraid?
Amey – Pyaar kiya to darna kya?
Shashank stops the duo – alright, that’s enough.Fine. You guys think this is how it is, no? Fine. This is how it is.
The scene shifts to the wedding rites during which Bhaskar’s Maasi realizes that she has forgotten some of the jewelry at home. Kukki and Amey catch the distress on her face and readily offer to help. However, she says that she is sending someone else. She calls for a guy named Nandu and sends him to bring a pink-colored box that is in Bhaskar’s room. She tells him to take the duplicate key from their neighbor to open the door.
Bhaskar and Babi Aatya’s Antarpat begins and Shashank starts capturing the beautiful moments with his camera. When his gaze spots his wife in the crowd again, his camera automatically shifts in her direction to capture her in it. When her head turns to him and she catches him clicking her, she turns her face away.
Shashank walks up to Apurva and stands beside her, who quickly shifts her position and stands beside Sumi. Shashank pulls Sumi aside and stands beside Apurva again. He cleverly turns the camera to her side but she notices and pushes it away.
Leaning closer, he asks – are you mad at me, hmm?
Flashing him a sarcastic smile, Apurva forces her head to shake in denial – nope. What have you done for me to be mad at you? You haven’t done any such thing, have you?
Shashank – I thought you could be mad at me for not wearing the matching clothes that you had brought for me but to tell you honestly – that matching clothes and all… just seemed way too childish to me.
The ritual continues.
Shashank goes to greet his colleagues who make an entry. Apurva watches Shashank, Netra and their color-coordinated outfits. Concluding that Shashank did not wear the clothes brought by her because he wanted to match his clothes with Netra, Apurva stands in a corner, hurt. Kukki finds Apurva and asks her what’s wrong.
She shows him the sight that she has been watching – Kukki, I did bring clothes for Khadoos. The ones that were matching to my outfit but he didn’t wear them. And look there – he wanted to match his clothes with Netra Tai. Upset, she walks away and stands alone.
Sumi and Nikhil walk up to Kukki to ask what’s the matter. He points at Shashank and Netra, revealing how their clothes are color-coordinated because of which Apurva has this misunderstanding now and this misunderstanding is going to cause fights between Apurva and Shashank and if that happens, Netra will not leave the chance to take its advantage.
Nikhil asks Kukki to do something who doesn’t quite know what can be done. He moves closer to pacify Apurva, trying to make her believe that it is nothing more than a coincidence – Shashank is a scientist. Netra is still learning. They are an absolute mismatch for each other.
Sumi – And honestly, Shashank Dada isn’t the one to discuss colors and all on the phone. It’s just not his nature.
Apurva considers what they are saying but doesn’t hide her disappointment at how long he has been talking to Netra – Really? Fine. I agree but this… this standing so close to each other, chatting for so long… What about this?
Nikhil says that he will take Netra to eat and make sure that she leaves from there itself but Apurva stops him – no, Nikhil Dada… Don’t do anything of that sort. They enjoy each other’s company. I… don’t care. Doesn’t affect me.
Nikhil expresses his annoyance with Shashank’s invitation to Netra – I don’t understand one thing, Kukki. In our every family function, is it a rule to call his colleagues and especially this clingy Netra? I am going to ask him.
Kukki – You must ask him.

I felt bad for Deepali today. Personally, I never truly disliked her. She always seemed transparent to me even when she went on to conceal her emotions in front of everyone. The confusion no longer exists. She indeed does have feelings for Bhaskar. The feelings that are so strong that she is finding putting an end to her life easier than watching him going far from her… far enough from where the return will be impossible.
At the moment, I am not quite sure if she is faking the suicide thing. I think I read it somewhere but personally, I didn’t feel that she is faking anything. The small bit where she confesses that this will be the last time she and Bhaskar saw each other – her emotions reached. It hit me. I don’t quite feel that she is faking it.
The whole bit and the emotions involved kinda caught me off-guard. It was serious, problematic and scary.
Coming to Mrs. Apurva Vartak Kanitkar and her willingness to break all the rules that will become an obstacle in her Babi Aatya’s enjoyment – so wholesome. The way she stubbornly brought Babi Aatya out despite everyone’s stern refusal just to make the day memorable for her Babi Aatya is heartwarming. She doesn’t care about anything but only her Babi Aatya’s happiness.
No matter what shackles the society or anyone else tries to trap her Babi Aatya in, Mrs. Apurva Vartak Kanitkar is standing right there, strong and firm to break every shackle that will stop her Babi Aatya from walking on the road of love that has come in her life after a long wait.
The whole conversation revolving around the blush was sweet. Apurva believing that she doesn’t even know how to blush and Sumi making several cracks to that belief in a minute, making her see that now she has someone in her life who has made and can make her blush no matter how stubbornly she tries to stand unaffected.
Mr. Kanitkar’s hidden photography talent though! We wonder what else Mr. Kanitkar is capable of. He seems to be surprising us every single day. Quite an interesting man, Mr. Kanitkar is!

Amey and Kukki seeking fun at Mr. Kanitkar’s expense is always an entertaining sight but something was different today. Mr. Kanitkar seemed quite cool about the entire teasing session. Neither did he try to deny anything nor did he make a single attempt to make them believe that what they were thinking isn’t true like how Mr. Kanitkar always does but not today. He just casually stood there, not minding if anyone was noticing him clicking his wife’s pictures.

Shashank’s camera involuntarily finding Apurva again when he was clicking Babi Aatya’s pictures during the ritual though! Not just Mr. Kanitkar but Mr. Kanitkar’s every single thing seems to be not just extremely fond of Mrs. Kanitkar but also her loyal disciple. They just find her somehow.
Mrs. Kanitkar still being bummed out because of the matching thing and Mr. Kanitkar trying to confirm if she is still mad at him was such a beautiful scene for me.
The tales of the psychic powers of Netra that got her outfit color-coordinated with Shashank’s! Sigh. The less said about it, the better.
We get that Netra is nothing more than a colleague to you, Mr. Kanitkar: But why is it necessary to talk to her for several long minutes than seem no less than unbearable ages to your wife?
We get it that it hurts, Mrs. Kanitkar but if you can just close your eyes and look at everything with the eyes of your heart, we bet that you will be able to see that the only person that your husband’s heart beats for is you, Mr. Kanitkar and it will always be you! Always -and forever!
