Thipkyanchi Rangoli – Episode 195 – Written Update and Episode Review

I am still so not sure what your heart holds for your Khadoos,

W H A T   H A P P E N E D   I N   T H E   E P I S O D E ?

The episode begins with Babi Aatya making it clear to Bhaskar that their wedding cannot happen when he asks her to forget everything considering it a nightmare. She adds that he has turned his back on her twice and she no longer has it in her to tolerate anything again. She asks Bhaskar to accept reality and make peace with it.

Bhaskar – Vidya, please?

Babi Aatya – Please, Bhaskar! If this is all that you have got to talk about then I think… I should leave.

Before she could leave, the disguised Kukki gang stands up and pretends to be arguing.

Apurva shouts from that side – Stop fighting you guys.

Babi Aatya thinks that they are from some drama company as by looking at their outfits, she feels that the whole India has come together. Bhaskar nods, mentioning that they indeed have different costumes and cultures but they are still together because they are Indian.

Bhaskar – Just like us.

Babi Aatya – We have nothing in common. I don’t think that we can stay together.  

Meanwhile, the Kukki gang discusses why Bhaskar and Babi Aatya are fighting.

Apurva – What are these guys doing? They love each other, no? Then why are they fighting? They aren’t Khadoos and I to fight 24×7. Khadoos knows nothing other than opposing me. 

Upon feeling a hand on her shoulder, Apurva looks behind her to find Shashank in disguise.

He chants the introduction that he had memorized, amusing everyone. 

Apurva asks him to change his name and herself picks Rana Phoolchand for him so that it suits her name Zulan. 

Shashank readily nods before they settle down. Apurva asks if he has brought his specs. 

Shashank – I have, thinking I should have them if I have to read something –

Apurva snatches them from him – you have to read nothing. She puts them on. I will look different with these, no?

Shashank – Lovely. Okay, what’s the update? What’s happening here?

Apurva points at Bhaskar and Babi Aatya, asking him to look on his own.

Kukki – We couldn’t hear anything at all since they are talking in such a low voice. Gotta do something about it.

Apurva comes up with an idea and they all start to loudly argue with each other, getting Babi Aatya annoyed.

Babi Aatya – You could find only this restaurant in the whole Nashik? What’s with the noise here?

Bhaskar – I didn’t know there was going to be so much of it here but Vidya, we used to go to a lot of crowded places before and still we could manage to steal our privacy. Remember, we used to get lost in each other’s eyes even while standing in the queue for movie tickets and one day… we were caught by Surve Uncle while returning from a movie? Remember?

Babi Aatya laughs as she nods – and do you remember that we actually ended up confessing everything while chit-chatting? 

Bhaskar – Yes and you were so scared that forget about the movie, you did not even remember its name.

Apurva states that she thinks that things are getting sorted out but Shashank doesn’t agree as he adds that Babi Aatya’s anger won’t go down so easily as he says that they must be talking in general. 

Apurva – Khadoos, what do you want? You want their patch-up to never happen?

Shashank – Doesn’t matter how desperately I want it. They need to want it to.

Amey suggests that he should go a little closer and try to hear what they are talking about since it is almost impossible for them to recognize him but his poor Punjabi speaking skills lands him in trouble and Bhaskar recognizes him and eventually the whole Kukki gang.

Babi Aatya gets furious as she yells at Apurva and starts to leave but Bhaskar goes on his knees, urging her to give him one last chance. 

Looking at the duo, Shashank imagines proposing to Apurva but when he returns back to reality, he hears Babi Aatya say that she is no longer the same Vidya who will fall for Bhaskar’s words and watches her leave. 

Bhaskar who realizes that Babi Aatya is about to collide with a waiter who is carrying a bowl of hot soup, rushes forward and puts his hand in between which causes the soup to spill on his hand, scalding it.

Alarmed, Babi Aatya rushes to his aid with cold water from their table. Concerned, Babi Aatya gets all worried about his hand as she blows air on it to soothe his pain.

Bhaskar holds her and sincerely asks for one last chance.

Everyone returns home and Babi Aatya reveals to the Kanitkars that she is ready to marry Bhaskar, leaving everyone overjoyed.

Everyone starts dancing around Babi Aatya. Shashank’s gaze stays glued to Apurva as he silently adores her from afar – this girl truly is incredible. She can unite two lovers, recognizing their love for each other. Can bring back the lost happiness of my home. Can wholeheartedly love everyone. Now this distance between us has to end and I… will be the one to end it, Apurva Vartak Kanitkar!

Later at night, Shashank pretends to be asleep when he catches Apurva’s sight. 

Apurva – Slept? Despite knowing that I was going to come… he did not even come to help me.

She tries waking him up but he does not respond. She sings, hoping at least that would wake him up but when even that fails, she picks up the glass of water and warns him to get up if he doesn’t want the water all over himself.

Startled by the mention of water, he quickly pulls himself up in a sitting position – aye. No water. Keep it down first. You will get everything wet over here.

Shashank – Say.

Apurva – Say what? Khadoos, you were pretending to be asleep. Shame on you.

Shashank – Why do you think that I was pretending?

Apurva – Because had you been actually sleeping, you would have woken up with a jolt hearing me sing and yelled at me but the fact that you didn’t… says that you were acting.

Shashank – You have really come to understand me, no?

Apurva – I am smart.

Shashank – No, but it’s tough then.

Apurva – What’s tough?

When your heart is pure, your intentions are genuine and your love is selfless – the universe will pen down the tales of your love with the golden ink of absolute admiration which will leave everyone reading those tales mesmerized! Your tales will leave them in awe as they will feel the surreal blend of emotions that you went through. Your tales will leave them inspired to love someone the way you loved your better half!

Such a sweet episode! Bhaskar got his Vidya and Khadoos got his realization. The realization that will eventually lead to the confession that will change his and his Shishta’s life forever!

The initial couple of minutes were serious as Babi Aatya continued to share how it had gone beyond her ability to see the same life with Bhaskar that she had once dreamed about. That acceptance and admittance certainly must have not been easy. The woman loved that man for years. Her youth was all about weaving dreams of a beautiful life with the man who she had gifted her heart and one incident was all that it took to crush every delicate dream that she had carefully woven with the thread of her trust.

When Bhaskar returned and made her aware of the truth, it must have felt so euphoric to her. Almost like the dreams that she had woven were still intact and he would make them come true but another incident and those very dreams were shattered. For yet another time and this time, leaving their imprints on her heart that were being too stubborn to let her believe him again.

But… Love will… find a way!

The matters of hearts have always been strange.

One minute, it makes you abandon someone. The next minute, it makes you embrace someone.
One minute, it makes you hold on to the grudge. The next minute, it makes  you open your fist and let it all go.
One minute, it makes you say no. The next minute… it makes you say yes!

It did not even occur to Bhaskar that he was choosing pain for himself by putting his hand in between Babi Aatya and the soup to protect her from the hurt or probably he did know it and he consciously chose it for himself. It is often easier to stay in the pain than to watch the one you deeply love being in pain. Probably why Bhaskar did what he did!

His hand wasn’t even that burned for that matter but the way Babi Aatya reacted gave away that her heart is still high on those very emotions that their relationship was based on. Despite knowing that she needed to keep away from him, all that it took her was to watch him in a bit of pain to keep it all aside and tend to his wound. The sensitivity when something happens to your loved ones is sky-high quite often. That’s what we probably saw here.

I am ecstatic for these two though. Finally! I can’t wait for them to get married. In today’s world when society tries to restrict everything and everyone so much – this wedding becomes that beautiful silent response to the ones who believe – there is an age for everything. An age to get married. An age to have kids. An age for this. An age for that. 

Society has always been weird. I can’t seem to connect much to it. I have never tried to either but I sincerely believe that if your heart is happy, then there is nobody else that you should bother about. If doing something brings you joy, do it for your sake. Don’t let anyone else tell you that this is not the right age for you to do it or you can’t do it or just anything of that sort.

Do… what makes you happy! Just do it. Unapologetically. Encourage others to do the same. Together, we will make this world a beautiful place. Get excited and cheer for others when they walk on the road to their happiness. Nothing is more beautiful than being soul-conscious and realizing that each one of us is on our own journey and the existence of competition has always been nothing more than a mirage.

Mr. Kanitkar going gaga over his wife is a sight to watch. I can’t help but chuckle at how wild his imagination has been getting lately. Mr. Kanitkar can’t wait to shower his wife with kisses but the poor guy has to wait until the whole confession and reciprocation happen so he has to make peace with what is possible at the moment and which is… dreaming! xD.

I genuinely did not think that it was going to be a dream sequence but now that I think about it, I think it’s good that it was one. We are getting to see how high Mr. Kanitkar is on his prem. Prem-High. Prem-Veer. Prem-Veda. No matter what the situation is, all that Mr. Kanitkar can think about is Mrs. Kanitkar. 

If this duo decides to watch a movie together, I am telling you – Mr. Kanitkar will replace the hero with himself and the heroine, with Mrs. Kanitkar and all that he will see in the movie will be – them. 

When he went on his knees in his dream, I almost started hearing,

सांग तू होशील का माझी lover?
देवा पावशील का? तिला सांगशील का?
तिच्यामाग झालोया पागल मी नादखुळा!

Insane. Isn’t that what Mr. Kanitkar seems to be these days? Love has driven him insane. In a good a way though. 

Something that caught my attention was that Apurva did reciprocate his love in his dream. See – Mr. Kanitkar’s intelligent heart is so sure that Mrs. Kanitkar’s heart is equally, madly and irrevocably in love with him.

The whole silent admiration session that took place when she was dancing though. The monologue and the silent confession were as sweet as they could have been. Probably one of my favorite bits! Mr. Kanitkar pulling up his socks and taking the matter into his hands as he legit promised himself that he will be the one to end whatever distance that they have between them was not just courageous but also appreciable, and endearing.

I ain’t surprised at all with the dashing entry of Shashank Nautanki Kanitkar. After the ghost prank that he came up with, I am prepared for anything and everything that Shashank Mischievous Kanitkar can do. But seriously, this man is so capable of giving a tough competition to the Kukki gang in doing drama. 

Kya speed se bhaga banda! 

Mr. Kanitkar seems to have been good at sports as well. Bhagne ki kafi practice lagti hai. Or maybe, the credit goes to how he has been running away from women all along? Only Mr. Kanitkar can reveal that.

खरं आहे, विलक्षणच आहे माझी बायको,
‘नको पडू तिच्या प्रेमात’ हे कसं बरं मी माझ्या मनाला सांगू शकतो!

कोण जपू शकते माझ्या घरच्यांची मने जशी ही जपते?
कोण करू शकते माझ्या घरच्यांसाठी जे ही करते?

Office मधून जरा उशीर झाला परतायला,
की लागतात मॅडमच्या डोळ्यातून धारा वाहायला!
कधी जर साधे खरचटलेही मला,
अख्खं घर डोक्यावर घेऊन पागल करून सोडेल ही सगळ्यांना!

इला तरी कळतेय का किती प्रेमात आहे ही माझ्या,
कशी बरं भेटली ही गोड चेटकीण माझ्या सारख्या गणिततज्ञ भूताला?
