Thipkyanchi Rangoli – Episode 331 & 332 – Episode Review

My heart is scared and so am I,
We donโ€™t know if weโ€™re supposed to smile or helplessly cry.
Just when we thought we were getting our share of happiness,
We have been slapped by the fear of emptiness.
Fate is playing its cards again,
And the worst part is that I canโ€™t even complain.
My silence stays the biggest culprit,
Almost makes me wonder if I deserve this brutal hit!
– IAdoreYouCreates

M Yย  ย T A K Eย

Mr. and Mrs. Kanitkar and their phone conversation made me wonder if there has been a sweet leap and if we are a couple of years ahead in their universe. Almost as if they are no longer new and naive in the game of marriage. This husband-wife duo seemed a bit too experienced to deserve the title of the naive couple who hasnโ€™t even been able to confess whatโ€™s in their hearts yet.

Shashankโ€™s mind was busy thinking about Dada-Kaka and his sudden decisions before it smoothly changed direction and his thoughts began to revolve around his wife but hisย admiring his wifeย session had to see an abrupt halt when she called. And the moment he gazed at the caller ID flashing on the screen, the name broke his lips into a sweet smile, almost magically bringing him out of the evident stress that he had been in.ย

Endearing.ย

The kind of effect that Mrs. Kanitkar has on Mr. Kanitkar is endearing. She is certainly capable of putting him at ease and peace almost instantly regardless of how awful the situation is by just being herself. When Kukki wasnโ€™t talking to Prachi and Shashank had walked up to him to make him understand and he didnโ€™t agree – Shashank had walked out, visibly distressed and Apurva was right there, silently gesturing and assuring him that everything was going to get alright.ย

Endearing.ย

The phone call was effortlessly sweet. In fact, I would rather call it romantic with both of them accepting that they were thinking about each other. Apurva legit guessed that her husband was busy with thoughts and not busy with work. I am impressed here. I wonder how she got to know it though. Seems like Mrs. Kanitkar has really come to understand Mr. Kanitkar.ย

Whatโ€™s tangal-mangal though?ย I have only heard –ย changal-mangal.ย

But thatโ€™s not important. What is here to be noticed and admired is Mrs. Kanitkarโ€™s attention. Out of everything that he said – her focus stayed only on the fact that –ย he was thinking about herย regardless of what he was thinking and it seemed to beย so more than enoughย to make her smile.

I was extremely upset when Shashank had made an insensitive joke in episode 253 when he had said that he would abandon everything and would only think about her all the time. It was pretty hurtful at that particular moment but look at the turn of events now.ย

Mr. Kanitkar in episode 253 – Mi kay karto na, udyapasun tu sodun kaslahi vichar karnar nahi, chalel? Maskari kartoy. Mala kayam he asa wagayla nahi jamnar, Apurva.

Mr. Kanitkar in episode 330 – Maja masti keli tari tuzach vichar aani tu changli wagli tari tuzach vichar.ย

Mr. Kanitkar has finally accepted that his hopeless heart is too hopeless to not think about her.ย

24*7 he thinks of you, 24*7 he thinks of you.

Mr. Kanitkar – Aso, tu kay karteyes?

Miss kartey ti tumhala, Mr. Kanitkar. Kalat nahi aahe ka tumhala?

ย

Mr. Kanitkarโ€™s smile though after Mrs. Kanitkar confesses that she has been thinking about him as well! So genuine. So comforting. Almost as if he is finally living the moments that he has dreamt of with her!ย

His dream finally seemed to be coming true but the poor fellow doesnโ€™t realize that the attacker is standing right outside his door. The attacker whose sole intention is to make sure by hook or crook that his dream would stay a dream – for the rest of his life.ย

The attacker namedย Vichitra Vedi.ย

In the initial days, I did feel that Netraโ€™s love for Shashank was genuine. Apart from her hatred toward her mother and Apurva, if there was something that I felt was honest – it has to be her feelings for Shashank. However, after the face changed, the whole character changed for me but even then, there was some scope, I would say but right now – there is zero scope that can make me consider that she even likes Shashank forget about love.ย

What was her monologue when she was standing outside his cabin? Till now, it seemed like her battle was for her love. Now suddenly the whole game has changed? We have to see the ultimate revenge saga now?ย What? Why?

This woman needs to get some clarity in life because right now what she is doing is as confusing as it can be. Decide what you want.ย You want Shashankโ€™s love or your sole motive is to separate him from his wife?ย

The way she says –ย Shashank Kanitkar, tu dusrya department la pathavun mala dur karnyachya prayatna kelas. Aata bagh, mi tula tuzya tya murkha bayko pasun kashi lamb karte te –ย makes me feel that she is referring to some sort of enemy who she hates. It absolutely doesnโ€™t make me feel that this person can be the one she claims to be in love with.

ย

Mr. and Mrs. Kanitkarโ€™s endearing conversation continues where Mr. Kanitkar cannot resist expressing how his wife is behaving likeย erm a wife?ย Haha. But what follows his statement is even more endearing.ย

Ka? Nahi aahe ka mi tuzi bayko?ย

How sweet was that question and when he saysย noย to Netra and Mrs. Kanitkar thinks that he said it to her – her small complaining session was so cute –ย arey nahi kasaโ€ฆ. Mi tuzi bako nahi aahe? Haan?

And that was the end of the endearing moments and the beginning of the annoying ones.ย

Can somebody tell thisย Vichitra Vediย that itโ€™s rude to interrupt someone when they are on a call? The lack of basic manners here is strange.ย

The whole conversation between Vichitra Vedi and our ignorant scientist is not worth discussing.ย

These people come to the institute to work or to discuss personal issues? Most of their conversations are personal and very less, work-related. Shashank had warned Netra to not bring up any personal topics in the institute time and again but this woman clearly fails to understand.ย

Shashank was being courteous which honestly, a lot of people tend to be. Itโ€™s hard to just dismiss people when they come to you. Moreover, Shashank clearly feels guilty about the whole unrequited love thing that he feels Netra has been through indirectly because of him.ย

The hypocritical dialogues of Vichitra Vedi though –ย you can forget a slap but not emotional attacks.ย

Can somebody remind this woman that she has done both to the same manโ€™s wife from whom she is seeking sympathy? Oh gosh, watching this is sheer torture.ย

Vichitra Vediโ€™s game is more well-planned than it seems at the moment. The dialogue that she might have done something to herself had he not been there with her clearly hints towards the future track where this will be used. She will emotionally blackmail him and he will have to give in, afraid that she might commit suicide or something.ย

This is a sick mess that she is trapping him in and the problematic part is that he doesnโ€™t realize what this woman is capable of. He is sympathizing with her. He clearly doesnโ€™t know that she is soon going to make him sympathize with his own self rather pity his own self for failing to see her for who she really is.ย

The deanโ€™s reaction to the whole scenario gave away that the rumors spread by Vichitra Vedi have reached his ears as well. Apurva didnโ€™t see the whole hug though which I am not sure if is good or bad but certainly it turned the situation in Shashankโ€™s favor with his wife defending him with all her might which was both sweet and overwhelming.ย

One of the things that I particularly love about Apurva is her loyalty that does not see a crack even behind Shashankโ€™s back. Not too long ago, she had generously and stubbornly defended him against her friends when she had left Kanitkar’s place and was at her Babaโ€™s place.ย

The way she didnโ€™t lose control over her tongue even after seeing Netra in Shashankโ€™s cabin is admirable. Apurva has grown so much as a person. From being someone who would just say what was in her heart without thinking about the people around and without considering the situation to being someone who chooses to react, understanding the situation – the journey has been great.ย

A lot of people choose to make sure that their problems and disagreements stay within the walls of their homes and there is a reason why they choose that. I love that Apurva has come to understand that.ย

Tula nahi kasa mhanel mi? Baykoch aahe tu mazi. Always.ย

Something that Shashankโ€™s heart silently added but couldnโ€™t find his voice was –ย Baykoch rahshil tu mazi. Always.ย

Mr. Kanitkar had to hold his wifeโ€™s hand to make her stop as she went on and on and on, wholeheartedly defending and praising him. He was like –ย stop it already.ย Haha but how sweet!ย

The irony is even the dean who doesnโ€™t really know the three people present in the room also seems to know Netra way better than Shashank does. I donโ€™t know why I enjoyed him taking their class.ย

Dean – He bagh, Shashankโ€ฆ ila mhantat bayko. Arey kiti vishwas aahe ticha tuzyavvar.

Shashank – Ho, Sir. Aani mi hi tya vishwasala tada nahi jau denar.ย

Dean – I hope so.ย

We also hope so, Mr. Kanitkar. Letโ€™s see.ย

After the dean kicks Netra out – sorry, I mean after the dean asks Netra to leave and invites Mr. and Mrs. Kanitkar to some function at his place – Mr. Kanitkar almost refuses till Mrs. Kanitkar intervenes and within seconds, Mr. Kanitkar obliges. I love when he does that. I love when he gives in. These little things are what make a marriage what it is supposed to be –ย beautiful.ย

Apurva asked Shashank why Netra was in his cabin and he postponed the conversation which is understandable. The whole Netra matter had already drained him. The deanโ€™s accusing gaze added to the guilt that the forced hug had caused. He still does not have clarity about Apurva-Abhayโ€™s relationship. The whole thing is a bit too complicated for him to talk about so it was given that he wouldnโ€™t touch the topic in front of Apurva. Not in the institute, at least.ย

He needs to talk it out for once and all with Apurva but that’s not happening. He has already made his set of accusations before and Apurva has cleared it from her side that there is nothing of that sort between Abhay and her but he feels otherwise and nobody can help that.ย

Shanka navachya rogala aushadh nasta.ย

Khadoos, tu jevlas?

Jate jate ruk gayi ladki, bas ye puchne ke liye! I love when herย wifeย mode gets activated. It’s always pretty fun to watch. It was lit how she got mad at the fact that Netra was the reason why he couldn’t eat.

Thik aahe. Mi jevenโ€ฆ

Thik tumchya saathi asel, Mr. Kanitkar. Tumchya bayko la nahi na chalat tumhi na jevlela!ย

Bayko being the smart Bayko that she is – dragged him to the canteen so that nobody else could dare to interrupt her husband’s lunch session.ย

The canteen was empty because the lunch break was over. I appreciate taking care of the details.ย

Bayko wasn’t going to eat but stayed just to make sure that her husband ate. How sweet!ย

Ae, Apurvaโ€ฆ konitari aala tarโ€ฆย

Oof. Mr. Kanitkar and his forever-stuck-in-romance mode heart – they cannot go beyond that. He actually thought that she was leaning in for a โ€ฆย Jo cheez ab tak unke bedroom me nahi hui wo institute mein hogi?ย

Shaking my head.ย

Tuza kay? Tu kadhi jevnar aahes?ย

Aahe. Aahe. Navryala pan kalji aahe.ย

Aani hoโ€ฆ jevlyabaddalโ€ฆ THANK YOU, Shashank Kanitkar.ย ย

Haha. Bayko being Bayko. Certainly cares for her husband way more than he cares for himself.ย ย

Apurva leaves and Shashankโ€™s distress resurfaces. He is clearly bothered.

ย

It is lovely to have Vitthu Baba and Suva-Aai back. They have a vibe that I love. There is this strange warmth and comfort these two characters offer.ย

Vitthu Babaโ€ฆ aata aaplyala lahan balanchi gaani tayar karayla lagtil.

Arey reham karo bacche pe. xD. I am just kidding.ย ย I am not.ย

Shashankโ€™s willingness to clear the deanโ€™s misunderstanding does not surprise me.

Yachyabaddal itaranchya manat zalele gairsamaj yala sahan hot nahi. Kadhich zale nahi.ย

I just wish that he shows the same willingness when it comes to Apurva as well.ย

The dean looks pretty much aware of the rumors. I wonder if that’s going to find his voice in the function and if Apurva will get to know about the whole extramarital affair rumors planted by Vichitra Vedi.ย

Netra again comes in front of Shashank who ends up sort of losing his cool this time and sternly warns her not to draw any meaning out of his gestures that is convenient to her, reminding her for yet another time why she gets his sympathy – his ex-colleague and his wife’s cousin.ย

Lekin iss ladki ko baat samajh kaha aati hai?ย Sigh.ย

I loved the conversation at Kanitkarโ€™s house. Apurva was unfiltered, saw no need to hide anything from anyone ( the comfort level has always been incredible ), and ranted about how Shashank couldn’t eat because of Netra. Even Mai was annoyed. Quite similar to Apurva. These two really are similar in a lot of aspects.ย

Prachi is being half-rational, half-weird. Scratch that. She is being full-weird. At least, it seems that way to me.ย

She seemed just fine when she made Shashank see the lipstick mark. Just fine till she said –ย I do think about you even though none of you do.ย

This woman clearly fails to realize what kind of a trap and miserable life these people have protected her from. She clearly does.ย

Her dialogues left me with more confusion than clarity.ย

When she said that she thinks about them even though nobody thinks about her – I was like, okay, she is hurt which is fine.ย

When she asked Panna Kaku about why they sent Ronit to jail, repeating her chant ofย why Appu wants to prove herself right always –ย I was like, okay, she still believes that Ronit is innocent.ย

When she made that comment about how they could have given Ronit a chance to redeem himself – I was like, okay, so she does accept the accusations that were put on him and still wants him.ย Quite strange!ย

But then she goes on to share the lipstick mark thing and the way she makes it sound is appalling, to say the least.ย

She made it sound like Shashank is having an extramarital affair but she protected him instead of screaming it to the family like Apurva did.ย

Here, the whole scenario is different but in case, Shashank was actually having an extramarital affair and Prachi did what she did – it’s not some great thing like she feels it is.ย

When Apurva supported Ronit and Prachi’s relationship, she clearly knew nothing about Ronit’s reality.

Here, however, it would have been – Prachi keeping her mouth shut about Shashankโ€™s affair ( if it existed ) and letting Apurva’s life go on with Shashank despite knowing what he was doing.ย

Suppose her brother had been an abusive husband. Going by her logic, she would have made sure that the whole domestic violence thing didn’t cross their gate.

Karan pathishi ghalne barobar watate mulila.ย

She is weird. Definitely not my favorite character.ย ย

Vichitra Vedi is making Shashank Kanitkar do what he could never imagine himself doing –ย act like a guilty five-year-old trying to hide his T-shirt stained with the same ice cream that his mother had warned him to not eat.ย

The frustration was so evident. He furiously tried to clean the stain but it was here to stay. The desperation to eliminate the existence of the stain that is capable of staining Apurva and his relationship made me feel for him.ย ย

The way he leans against the cupboard after hiding that shirt in the cupboard gives away that the dread is real.ย

This whole hiding thing goes against Shashank’s nature who has always chanted how he can’t stand lies and liars so this may make people say –ย oh, wow, what a hypocrite,ย and rightfully so but honestly, this is how it is.ย

Suva-Aai gave Apurva the scooter advice but herself failed to stick to it when suffered a similar situation.ย

Dada-Kaka gave Apurva theย stay calmย advice but himself failed to stick to it when suffered a similar situation.ย

Shashank has always been adamant about his hatred for and toward lies and liars. He has always wanted Apurva not to hide anything from him but he himself is doing the same when suffered a similar situation.ย

Mulat khota bolne kiva goshti lapavne he intention nahich aahe. Navtach. Kadhich Konachach. Sagle bas aap-aaplya paddhatine situation sambhalaycha prayatna karat astaat. Satat. Shashank hi tech kartoy.ย

Apurva was doing the same when she hid the Avantika matter from him. She was just trying to take care of the matter in her way.ย

Shashank is doing the same now that he is desperately trying to hide the lipstick mark from her. He is just trying to take care of the matter in his way.ย

Apurva had kept things away because she didn’t know how he would react.

Shashank is keeping things away because he knows how she will react.

It’s nothing but a helpless desire to protect what seems to be falling apart.ย

Harshada review is so perfect… so perfect…

It resonated so much with my thoughts on the episodes. You know after reading every sentence I was going like “mala pan asach vatat hota… mi pan asach mhanat hote… he agadi barobar aahe ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…” (as if it was echo ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)

The names though… Oh ..
From Netra to Netra madam to Bitter Babe to Vichitra Vedi…
She is really giving vibes of someone who has ran away from a mental asylum… During her initial monologue and the way she said Shashank Kanitkar even I was like “but you say you love him, don’t you? Then what kind of love is that ?”

And hamare Shappu ka toh kya hi kehena…

Regarding Shashank, the situation is certainly complicated and he has his fair share in it if enhancing the complications by doubting Apurva constantly.

Also I think he has not been able to digest abrupt changed in Netra’s behaviour since his wedding was announced with Apurva. And as he believes she loves him truly, his gulit forbids him to act sternly with her.

Apurva not seeing the mark is going lead us which way, I don’t understand…

For a moment even I felt that Shashank is being a hypocrite. But the way he was trying to vanish the mark, his restlessness, his guilt, and as you said the way he leaned to cupboard was executed so perfectly that I couldn’t help sympathising.

I know you may feel that I have repeated a lot of things from the review, but I can’t help. I felt, if I was so good at writing, then this is what I would have written. Your perspective was so much similar to mine, so I couldn’t help but write this long message …

Beautiful… Beautiful… Beautiful…

One more, tangal Mangal means if you are not willing to do any work, and then you come up with n number of lame excuses for not doing the same. That is tangal mangal.

For example, when my mother asks me to clean my cupboard I try to postpone it as possible. Then I get thrashing “เคŸเค‚เค—เคณเคฎเค‚เค—เคณ เคจ เค•เคฐเคคเคพ เค†เคœ เคฐเคพเคคเฅเคฐเฅ€เคšเฅเคฏเคพ เค†เคค เค†เคตเคฐ” ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

He must realise that he is going to loose her if he keeps on hiding the things, may be sometime later, but the matter is sure to come to Apurva.

So if he is shying to choose to be honest, due fear of loosing Apurva, he must see that hiding the things doesn’t prove to be solution for that fear either.

He needs to open up with her one day or the other. Just the case is sooner the better…

Whenever something good happen with shappu netra comes between them and ruin everything, I can’t stand her and shashank is heading towards big trap laid by netra without suspecting her intentions

Initially I used to feel netra… They used to work together and he was eligible bachelor in town ( as per his family thinks), intelligent in his work. Bcz of this she might have ha crush on him and she realized it strongly when she heard about his marriage. And now when she comes to know that it’s with her cousin who she has hated the most.
According to netra, apurva stole her mom from her and now her crush/love. And maybe this is the reason netra is going all crazy and trying create misunderstandings between them.
From her latest talks, I feel like she is more interested in keeping appu and shashank away from each other rather than shashank.
Netra is not in love or she doesn’t like shashank, it’s just pure revenge. Usko bs zid hai appu ne Meri ma chhini hai mujhse ab shashank ko nahi chhinane dungi… Something like that๐Ÿ˜…
