His penetrating gaze didn’t leave her sight for even a moment as for the first time, his heart took the front seat, forcibly throwing his idealistic morals out of the first window that it could find in his being.
Not letting his words be restrained by the bitter fact that she was his best friend’s fiancée and entertaining the kind of feelings that his heart was developing for this woman was just ridiculous, to begin with – he allowed her to see how deeply he cared for her.
Especially when she wasn’t around because that was the time he had no way of finding out if she was okay or not.
His confession, though sudden and unexpected, wasn’t foreign to her. Though she probably didn’t know it that detailed but she didn’t need to hear verbally from him that she meant something to him.
What? She had no idea but every bit of her knew that she meant something to him. His gestures – time and again – screamed of it.
A part of her always wondered why Naam Teen Banda Mean was more bothered about her and her troubles than Mayank was.
Mayank was her fiance.
Naam Teen Banda Mean was… nobody but every time she landed in a problem – Naam Teen Banda Mean appeared to pull her out of it. Where was Mayank?
For how long was she supposed to cover up for Mayank to shush her stupid heart – brakes of which Naam Teen Banda Mean seemed to have brutally played with?
Her heart was running at the full speed toward Naam Teen Banda Mean and no matter how hard she pressed her foot on the brake – all in vain. It was all in vain.
Every time she forced herself to get rid of her thoughts that hopelessly revolved around him and stubbornly commanded her mind and heart to focus on Mayank – Naam Teen Banda Mean would do something that would warm her heart and Mayank would do something that would raise her uncertainty about the marriage.
Her mind went back to recalling how instantly his question had popped up if Maasi was okay when she was on the call. His eyes glistening with concern were still lingering on her mind. She couldn’t get over them. Though he had tried his best to cover it up by stating that he was asking for Mayank, she knew it better.
She knew it better.
Naam Teen Banda Mean! He was making her regret picking that name for him for lately all that he had been was – a sweetheart.
An absolute sweetheart!
