She chuckled at his astonished self. “Haan. Aapke utne firm denial ke bavajood!” Dramatically mimicking him, she smacked his head.
“Was it the Sangeet moment when you thought that I .. have feelings for you?”
His question brought a beautiful smile to play on her lips.
“Aap… acche hai, AVM. I don’t know ke aap khud ko kitna jaante hai lekin jitna main aapko jaanti hoon… agar uss din meri jagah koi aur bhi hota to bhi aap wahi karte. Kisi ke bhi liye.”
His fingers involuntarily intertwined with hers as the admiration that her orbs held for him almost overwhelmed him.
“Waise to kaafi pal the jinme maine feel kiya tha ke shayad aap mujhse…” She deliberately let the rest of the words hanging, watching his gaze fall to their hands.
“But if you ask me about the one that comes to my mind right now… then it has to be when you came to check upon me the next day after Sangeet. Tab shayad main utna samajh nahi paayi thi but ab jab main sochti hoon… that is very special to me, AVM.
