I may not have been a fan of the story progressions in ITV but the songs… Ah, the songs… it has been beyond me not to fall for them. Let me list some of my favorites for you to check out.

Malanga Re ( Piya Albela )
Piya Albela aired on Zee TV and it was promoted as a modern retelling of Menaka and Vishwamitra’s love story. I did follow the show for the initial several episodes and I can definitely say that it was good. I was impressed even if that didn’t last long… I was. Back then, it was that ‘something different’, and the cast was so good. I think I watched till they got married. I’ve no idea what happened later but it probably became something else altogether. Not that I mind. I anyway watch till I can and leave when I can’t. I appreciate the good stuff about shows. <3
Malanga Re and Jogiya are two songs from Piya Albela that I have been in love with for years now. It has been almost five years and I still have the lyrics by heart.

Channa Ve ( DivyaDrishti )
I remember falling in love with Channa Ve almost as instantly as I heard it. I have a sister and every time I listen to Channa Ve, it’s just this beautiful feeling that I cannot put into words.

Tumhari Pakhi aired on Life OK and I did follow it for a whole lot of episodes. I remember watching it only for Pakhi and Ayaan. The love that this duo shared was so pure. Ayaan and his Pakhi Maa were <3

I don’t remember much about the show but the song… I could never forget it. There are two versions. The following is one of them.

Saathiya Mere ( Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke)
Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke needs no introduction. The Star Plus drama was quite popular and rightfully so. Abir still stays one of my favorite male protagonists. Abir and Mishti, fondly addressed as MishBir were immensely loved and so was Saathiya Mere.

Rabba Ve ( IPKKND 3 )
IPKKND is a guilty pleasure. I did watch season three and I liked it ( of course, there are a lot of things from it that I do not appreciate though ) but my favorite thing about that season has to be this version of Rabba Ve. I could never get over it.

Kyun Dard Hai Itna ( IPKKND )
This one is from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, the first season. Well, I am not sure if we can even call them seasons. Those three were standalone shows with no strings attached apart from the title.
Kyun Dard Hai Itna holds a special place in a lot of hearts simply because of the timing when it was introduced in the show. Anyone who has watched the show knows how hard the song would hit back then.
