“Sarla Aunty ne mujhe taane diye, mujhe ghartodu kaha. Lekin mujhe khud se zada AVM ki fiqr ho rahi hai.”
The moment the first taunt on his mother was spoken, her head snapped at him, and seeing the brutal hit to his composure was all that she needed to regret holding that conversation with Sonu. Even though they weren’t talking about what everyone had assumed they were, it didn’t matter. It… didn’t matter.
All that mattered was – she had ended up becoming the reason for the demons of his past to hover over him. Again.
The title of the home-breaker had always been hurtful. More because even she had to grow up without the shadow of her parents. She knew – her every wrong step – would attract people to shame her deceased parents. But to her surprise, she had long forgotten the taunts that were made at her.
Her mind only remembered that he had been taunted and her heart could only cry for the miserable memories those taunts had brought back to him.
“Iss duniya me sirf ek cheez nahi sun sakta. Meri… Maa ko lekar taane!”
Her heart had broken right then and there to see that the crack in his composure was no longer a crack. His entire composure had fallen apart and… so had he. And so had he. His unshed tears, the lump in his throat and his cracked voice made her feel that she was the worst one alive to do that to him.
She could fight with him for days and nights without a break but to watch him breaking down – that too because of her – seemed way out of her capacity. Way out of her capacity.
No matter what happened, he had always been a pillar for his family to lean on. He had stood firm for as long as he needed to, without caring about his own aching muscles. His pretense had been so convincing that perhaps, even his family had no idea how vulnerable he in reality was.
The secret tales of his heart-wrenching breakdowns were held securely within the walls of his room.
Little did he know, that those walls had begun to betray him ever since they saw her. They had been allowing her soul to travel through them, exposing his vulnerability bare to her.
AVM’s scarred heart had finally found someone who didn’t mind drinking his share of poison and giving him her share of the elixir.
RBTL – Reading Between the Lines. This is a scene write-up.
Drama Name – Ishk Par Zor Nahi.
It’s written so nicely. The exact words describing feelings. Lovely.
Thank you.
