You keep believing someone else over me,
Tell me why is it so hard to see?
In my heart, stays only this one woman so pretty,
And that is nobody else but you, my dear wifey! – IAdoreYouCreates

The episode begins with Shashank asking Netra and Sonali to take a seat and be comfortable. Netra however sticks to Shashank much to Apurva’s annoyance.
Netra – Where is Apurva?
Shashank – Why? Why are you asking about her?
Netra – Nothing much. Even if I don’t like her… she is my sister.
Shashank – Is it so? I see. Nah, I was just wondering if you were looking forward to picking a fight with her.
Netra – What do you mean? Are you accusing me of being a quarrelsome person?
Shashank – Not really accusing but a lot of times, your behavior with Apurva has been quite of an instigating type. Why I said what I did.
Netra – Oh and your wife is a saint like no other, right?
Shashank – She is my wife and you, an assistant.
Netra – Oh, I see. I didn’t quite think that you would be so possessive about your wife.
Shashank – Isn’t it obvious?
Netra – Yes, definitely, Sir but well, will you at least agree that she doesn’t suit you in any way? From the color coordination of the outfits to even the IQ levels – you two are a mismatch in every aspect. Like just look at this – your dress matches my Saree more than her dress, no?
Shashank – I have no interest in these things.
Nikhil’s patience ends, listening to Netra’s never-ending sarcastic taunts and he marches in their direction. Apurva tries to hold him back but Kukki asks her to let him go.
Shashank asks Netra to go and meet Babi Aatya but she says that she will go later.
Nikhil subtly interrupts Shashank-Netra’s conversation – Ah, Netra Ma’am. Welcome. Welcome. I just suddenly remembered that you went without eating last time. But it won’t work this time so… Come, you eat first. Shashank, if you don’t mind – can I take her to eat?
Shashank – Yes, please. And thank you so much, Nikhikrao for taking care of my guest.
Nikhil – Have to. Special guest, no?
Netra – No, thank you but I am attending the whole wedding. Moreover, I am comfortable with Shashank Sir here so… you carry on.
Netra gestures for Nikhil to leave, refusing to leave Shashank, leaving Nikhil and the Kukki gang annoyed.
Apurva hears Aparna Kaku and Suva Aai’s conversation that revolves around true love.
Aparna Kaku – It is said that the ones who are truly in love with each other… their hearts are connected and their feet are turned toward each other.
When Nikhil returns to the Kukki gang, Kukki asks – what happened? She is leaving, right?
A disappointed Nikhil shakes his head – this is looking tough.
Kukki taps on Apurva’s shoulder – you don’t wait here. Go to your husband.
Apurva – No, Kukki. Look how much they are enjoying together and like Panna Kaku said – even their feet are toward each other.
Kukki – Appu… Shashank is your husband. No, I get it that you don’t love each other but even if you don’t – as a wife, you have a right on him. More than anyone else.
Apurva – No, but, Kukki… he doesn’t like to talk to me. He likes to talk to Netra Tai.
Kukki – That’s because Netra talks only about what Shashank likes. She doesn’t fight with him. Takes his every word literally. You also do the same. Talk sweetly to Netra and then see how the tables turn.
Apurva refuses – no, Kukki. I can’t fake anything with anyone. It’s just not my cup of tea.
Sumi – Appu is right. She can’t lie and fake things. And even if she does – then what’s the difference between Netra and Appu?
Apurva walks up to Shashank who is still around Netra and Sonali.
She holds Shashank’s hand – Khadoos, I have to talk to you regarding something. Come here for a minute.
Shashank asks her to say whatever it is there itself.
Apurva – It’s personal so just… come.
Before Apurva and Shashank can get away, Netra interrupts Apurva – the whole world knows that there is nothing personal between you and Shashank Sir so I can’t seem to understand why you are exuding your right as a wife here.
Apurva has a hard time controlling her frustration – still… I want to talk.
Netra – Ah, you are here to confront him that we planned to match our outfits, no?
Shashank – Netra, stop spouting nonsense.
Netra – Your wife can do anything, Sir. She is getting disturbed by the fact that our likes and preferences are matching, right, Apurva?
Apurva – Not really. Certain things are coincidences.
Netra – Not really. It’s called Telepathy. You know, certain things don’t happen even when planned but where hearts are connected – they can understand even unsaid words of each other.
Apurva stares at Netra – is it so? before darting a glare at Shashank – GOOD.
Shashank stands clueless between Netra and Apurva until Apurva is about to leave. He asks her to forget about everything and say what she was here for.
Apurva’s unsaid words get cut off by Netra who steals Shashank’s attention, saying – Shashank Sir, I ain’t eating anything spicy today. What do we have in sweets?
Netra’s audacity leaves Apurva stunned and almost in disbelief which quickly gets transformed into hurt when Shashank actually leaves to bring the sweets for Netra.
The Kukki gang can’t contain their frustration upon seeing Shashank falling for Netra’s tactics.
Shashank and the Kukki gang watch an unpleasant scene unfolding in front of them. Dr. Anjali Vartak slyly reveals to Bhaskar’s Maasi that Dr. Kaushik has sponsored Babi Aatya’s jewelry, putting the Kanitkars down.
Shashank grows enraged upon hearing her and can’t resist saying to the Kukki gang that this is precisely why he didn’t want to take help from Dr. Kaushik.
Kukki shares some words of wisdom – Shashank, it’s up to us to take whose words seriously and whose not. Just take a look there. Look at Dr. Kaushik. Doesn’t it seem like this is his own function?
Amey – And you do know how much Appu loves Babi Aatya, right?
Shashank – Of course, I do. I am only quiet because of and for Babi Aatya.
Amey tries to calm Shashank down and asks him if he talked to Apurva.
Shashank – To make her understand is to wear what she wants. To do the childish, immature stuff. I just don’t know how to make her understand. Anyways, I gotta go. Will be back in two minutes.
Netra follows Apurva and stops her – what happened? All of the Kanitkar couples have worn color-coordinated outfits. Only you and Shashank Sir are the odd couple out. In fact, Shashank Sir and I… we are looking like a perfect couple. Is it why you are upset?
Apurva – No, it is nothing of that sort.
Netra – It is. It is of that sort. I know but should I tell you something honestly? I think this is probably foreshadowing future events in our life. Probably… it’s destiny. Shashank Sir and I…. we are destined to be together. Okay, tell me something… the comfort and enthusiasm with which Shashank Sir talks to me… does he talk to you with the same ease and enthusiasm?
Apurva – You feel that your Shashank Sir talks with an ease with you because we are the host and you are the guest. It falls in our morals to talk nicely to our guests. You are here for our function, for our Babi Aatya’s wedding. Please enjoy yourself. Eat and leave.
Netra – I admit, you are the daughter-in-law of this house but you could never become Shashank Sir’s wife.
The whole scene is witnessed by the Kukki gang. Apurva is yet to get over the hurt caused by Netra’s vicious words when Shashank comes back with a plate of sweets for Netra, unintentionally attacking Apurva’s already upset heart.
A heartbroken Apurva fails to hold back her tears, catching Shashank off-guard by the severity of her hurt. She leaves from there, making Shashank call for her. He is about to follow her but Netra pretends to be coughing and he goes to get her some water, making her happy upon being succeeded in her plan of keeping Shashank and Apurva away.
The Kukki gang gets more upset upon watching Shashank failing to understand Netra’s tactics.
Kukki – This Shashank… he is an idiot.
Shashank hands over the glass of water to Netra and leaves from there.
Meanwhile, Kukki, Manasi and Amey discuss their displeasure
Kukki – Idiot, an absolute idiot he is. He doesn’t understand that he should entertain his wife’s stubborn demands but he is bringing sweets for that Netra.
Shashank reaches near them and asks them where Apurva is.
Kukki – We don’t know. Must have gone somewhere. You have hurt her feelings, no?
Shashank – What?
Kukki – Shashank, a husband and a wife are supposed to do things for each other’s happiness even if that doesn’t make sense to them.
Amey – Even if that seems childish but let it be… you won’t get it.
Shashank spots Apurva standing alone in a corner. He excuses himself from the Kukki gang as he rushes toward her.
Meanwhile, Bhaskar’s Massi grows anxious about Nandu still not returning with the jewelry. She asks her husband to call him and see where he has reached.
Shashank turns Apurva to himself by holding her hands but she is quick to pull her hands to herself before wiping her tears.
Shashank – What are you doing here alone?
Apurva – How could you match your outfit with Netra Tai’s? It didn’t seem childish to you while doing it with her? Oh sorry. My bad. You guys have some connection, no? Right. Right. Khadoos, why did you even marry me if you wanted to do everything for and with her?
Momentarily stunned by her question, Shashank struggles to come up with a response to pacify her – are you hearing yourself? Do you… do you even realize what you are saying?
Apurva – I very well know what I am saying. You see if you know what you’re saying. Think about it. What’s the thing with you? You are chatting with her like she is yoir long-lost buddy?
Shashank – I –
Apurva – What? WHAT? You are giving her sweets to eat and now… even your clothes are color-coordinated?
Shashank – That is a coincidence. It has coincidentally happened. I haven’t planned this.
Apurva – Coincidence? Fine but what about everything that she just said to me?
Shashank – What did she say?
Apurva yells – What do you mean by what she said?
Shashank – Calm, calm down.
Apurva lowers her pitch – fine. She said… that destiny is suggesting that you two should be together. That your hearts are connected. WHAT ABOUT THAT?
Shashank mentally facepalms himself, hearing what Netra has said to Apurva – Apurva, what should I do to make you believe me? Tell me. I will prove myself.
Hurt, Apurva walks away after saying – you don’t have to prove anything.
Bhaskar’s Maasi continues to express her worry about the jewelry as she continues to ask her husband what is taking Nandu so long to return.
The Kukki gang watches Shashank and Apurva’s argument.
Amey – The matching clothes theme is taking a serious turn.
Sumi – I know, right? Their issues are just escalating.
However, Kukki makes them see what they are missing on – .nah. Look at them properly. The scene is different this time. Appu is ignoring Shashank and Shashank is running behind her – making the Kukki gang surprised and delighted at the same time.
Shashank follows Apurva again and stops her. He holds her by the elbow but she continues to resist until she finally looks around at people and asks him what he is up to.
Shashank – What are you doing? I keep coming behind you to talk to you and you keep running away from me.
Apurva – DON’T come behind me. Go and attend to your guests.
Shashank – Listen, I don’t want to fight with you.
Apurva – Khadoos, even I don’t want to fight with you but you… you are following me like a ghost.
Shashank – Shh and if the ghost will not follow the witch… who will it follow? I am Mr. Ghost and you… Mrs. Ghost. Hmm, that works?
Apurva can’t resist the small smile that his words bring over her lips and tries to move away.
Shashank catches her midway – you should smile if you want to. You know… that makes the married life of ghosts joyous. Apurva… I like to see you happy and smiling… always.
Apurva – Even I like to be smiling and happy all the time but you know Mr. Ghost… this ghost that I have in my life… doesn’t let me stay that way and then there is this Netra Tai who keeps taunting me for something or the other.
Shashank – You know what, Apurva? If you just stop paying attention to Netra… she will automatically stop taunting you.
Apurva – BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Shashank – What about me?
Apurva – You keep chatting with her for so long. And I know… even your feet are always in her direction.
Shashank, who doesn’t quite have an idea where exactly that comment is coming from… responds by saying – isn’t it obvious? If I am talking to someone… my face… my feet will be toward them, no? I am not a real ghost to have my feet facing backward. I am a ghost… but only for you. See now that I am talking to you… my feet are toward you. Aren’t they? Hmm?
Apurva – But, Khadoos… you do like Netra Tai, don’t you? You matched your outfit with hers.
She leaves from there again, leaving Shashank helpless.
The Kukki gang continues to call out Shashank as they discuss that he just doesn’t seem to understand Apurva’s behavior.
Kukki – Shashank is such a talented scientist. Does a tricky analysis but when it comes to Appu… he just can’t seem to be able to see where she is coming from.
Nikhil – Exactly. Just keeps fighting with her.
Amey – I just don’t get what laboratory he is made in. He has brought us to a point where I am forced to say that Shashank before marriage was a lot better than this Shashank after marriage.
Shashank runs behind Apurva again asking her – would I have clicked so many pictures of you had I liked someone else?
The confession fills Apurva with childlike excitement – you clicked my pictures?
Shashank – YES.
Apurva – Show me.
Shashank – Nah. Let it be.
Apurva – Let me see, no?
Shashank – Let it be now. Leave it.
Crossing her arms to her chest, she frowns, standing aside.
Shashank stands beside her – you know, these things are insignificant when you don’t trust me, no? But should I tell you one thing? You are looking beautiful today.
Surprised by his unexpected compliment, she looks at him. He nods, silently assuring her that she heard it right.
Apurva – Should I also tell you one thing?
Shashank – Feel free.
Apurva – Even my ghost is looking good today BUT… would have looked even better had he color-coordinated his outfit with mine.
Shashank – You still have that thing in your head?
Apurva – OF COURSE.
Shashank – Fine. Better late than never. Maybe… next time?
Apurva – Maybe?
Shashank smiles – next time fixed. Happy?
The Kukki gang watches the duo, content upon realizing that they have resolved their issues. Kukki adds that the duo complements each other like no other.
M Y T A K E
One of those episodes that I might not get bored with for a long time no matter how many times I return to rewatch it!
Khota Khota Navra. Khoti Khoti Bayko.
Ended up becoming each other’s magical shadow.
The shadow that refuses to leave even in the dark,
Nothing and nobody can dare to maliciously touch the universe of their hearts.
What a fantastic episode with the range of emotions that overwhelmed me every thirty seconds!
From Apurva’s hurt to Shashank’s helplessness!
From Netra’s confidence in the future of her and Shashank to the Kukki gang’s sheer frustration at Shashank falling for Netra’s tactics like a naive five-year-old!
Mr. Kanitkar readily taking a stand for his wife, asking Netra why she was looking for Apurva and not hesitating at all to verbally admit that she does instigate Apurva was so significant. I think this is probably the first time where I caught a glimpse of an overprotective Mr. Husband Kanitkar who was trying to make sure that no trouble would reach his wife.
Mr. Kanitkar also quite casually and smartly showed Netra where she stands in his life and where his wife stands in his life or rather I should say in his heart.
Mr. Kanitkar didn’t absolutely mind admitting that he was clicking his wife’s s pictures in front of Amey and Kukki.
Mr. Kanitkar didn’t absolutely mind reminding Netra that she is nothing more than his assistant and Apurva, his wife, he is undeniably and unapologetically possessive about.
Good going, Mr. Kanitkar. We are quite loving your style of public display of your affection for your wife.
But – but – I am so with the Kukki gang today.
How do you not see what Netra is trying to do, Mr. Kanitkar? I get it that your heart is clean and why, you seem to be not considering these kinds of things but like how on the earth can you be so unaware of what’s happening right in front of your eyes, Mr. Kanitkar?
But, I think I kinda know how it is for Mr. Kanitkar. For Mr. Kanitkar, Netra is just another colleague of his who he does like for her intelligence and work. The general appreciation we would have for anyone! But other than that, she stands nowhere in his life and, Mr. Kanitkar just does not think about her.
Why he takes neither her nor her words seriously!
Why he said to the Kukki gang that day and to Apurva today that if she can ignore Netra – she would eventually stop!
Because that’s what Mr. Kanitkar does. He royally ignores Netra and anything and everything that she says that is not relevant to the work and that is why nothing that she says affects him.
For Mr. Kanitkar – it’s like – if Netra says that water is fire and fire is water – Mr. Kanitkar would say – sure and would walk away without holding any memory of that conversation because Netra’s words simply don’t matter to him.
And it’s going to take a long time for Mrs. Kanitkar to realize why Mr. Kanitkar stands unaffected even when Netra crosses the line but ends up reacting if Mrs. Kanitkar says even a word.
That is simply because even the strand of your hair affects him, Mrs. Kanitkar!
Mr. Kanitkar was almost caught off-guard and taken aback when he witnessed the tears in Mrs. Kanitkar’s eyes in that sweets scene. Almost like a truck hitting his happy little castle! That’s what Mrs. Kanitkar’s tears do to Mr. Kanitkar.
I am almost never blaming Apurva for the constant insecurities that she has regarding her Khadoos and Netra Tai. Netra’s words will always hit her and push her deep into the well of anguish and insecurities solely because of the circumstances in which she and Shashank got married.
Mrs. Kanitkar’s heart keeps trying to make her forget about the one-year contract and the fact that she and Mr. Kanitkar did not choose each other. They were rather made to choose each other by their families and practically couldn’t find an escape. But Netra makes sure that Mrs. Kanitkar’s mind will never let her heart interfere enough to wipe those memories.
Unless Mr. Kanitkar openly, consistently and stubbornly admits, confesses and expresses his love for Mrs. Kanitkar – long as Netra is around, and she feeds these things to Mrs. Kanitkar – she will always stay at the risk of drowning in those insecurities. And since I personally believe that Mrs. Kanitkar is already – deeply and hopelessly – in love with Mr. Kanitkar – if something or someone gets her assured that Mr. Kanitkar loves someone else – she will leave him for his happiness.
Mr. Kanitkar growing all restless upon seeing Mrs. Kanitkar upset and running behind her to clear the misunderstanding and make her smile had my heart.
भूत चेटकीणी मागे नाही येणार तर कोणा मागे येणार?,
Mrs. भूत शिवाय Mr. भूताला एकटं कसं बरं करमणार?
This whole bit was so endearing. Kept me smiling throughout. Throughout.
Mrs. Kanitkar pushed Mr. Kanitkar to the point where he actually had to confess that he likes her, he is ready to do anything that she will ask for him to prove himself and that he clicked so many pictures of her.
The number of confessions that Mr. Kanitkar made today though! And all significant ones!
The highlight of the episode – Mr. Kanitkar – for yet another time – abandoning his beliefs, preferences and likings – and giving in to his wife’s demands.
First in the Holi episode and now, in this one!
Yet another brilliant and fun episode!

Netra is quite not important to Shashank in my opinion. Why he doesn’t think it’s important to say anything that is not related to the work to her but really, Shashank has to speak up at times. कधी कधी बोलणं गरजेचं होऊन जातं!
One of the best episode. Essence of the episode increases after reading your review .Marathi and non Marathi both shd read your review. Your the best. I’m happy you pointed why Shashank ignores Netra words.I’m loving flirting, expressive Shashank. Shashank always expect attention from Appu and vice versa
Thank you so much. That is very kind of you to say so. You made my day brighter with such sweet words. 💜
