In your moments of darkness, they become lights.
They are the ones with whom you have memorable fights.
To make you smile, they don’t mind being even a joker,
They don’t mind dying while protecting you from a monster.
They are neither fancy nor a mystery,
They are the bundles of unfiltered love, they are – your family.

The episode begins with Babi Aatya making it clear to the Kanitkar women that the topic of her and Bhaskar’s wedding is closed now, telling them that there should be no discussion about the same henceforth.Â
Maai and Aparna Kaku tries their best to change Babi Aatya’s mind, making Babi Aatya see Bhaskar’s side but Babi Aatya stays firm on her word.
When Maai says that Bhaskar will be back once Deepali feels better, Babi Aatya responds by saying – sure. Deepali will feel better but this wedding… will not happen. I waited for him at the mandap. Then here… right here, in this room, I waited for him in my bridal attire but did he come? He didn’t. Everything has a limit and my limit of waiting for Bhaskar has ended.
When Maai asks her what about the time when Bhaskar comes back, Babi Aatya tells her that she is going to tell him the same.
Aparna Kaku continues to convince Babi Aatya by saying that the wedding is almost done. Just the Mangalsutra is remained.
Babi Aatya states that probably that is what isn’t in her fate. Babi Aatya adds that she doesn’t want anyone’s sympathy and in the same way, she doesn’t want Deepali and Ovi’s hatred either.Â
Babi Aatya – If tomorrow, Bhaskar marries me, what will people say? That he married me by ditching and hurting Deepali.
Suva Aai – We cannot make our decisions based on who will say what. I am not going to ask you to change your decision or reconsider it. I am with you in whatever you decide and I am sure, the whole family including Dada will stand by you in your every decision.Â
Babi Aatya – And that is why… I am going to say no to this marriage. Firmly. It’s about my self-respect now. Even if Bhaskar marries me or turns his back on Deepali – in both situations… it’s my self-respect that will be harmed and that is why I have decided… this wedding will not happen.
Maai – Please don’t say that. It was about Deepali’s life and death. That is why Bhaskar behaved this way. Shouldn’t we understand him?
Babi Aatya – I did. So far… all that I have done is understand his side. That is why I kept telling him all along to talk to Deepali and make everything clear with her.Â
Aparna – What you are saying must be in Deepali’s heart. Not Bhaskar’s. He will be back right after Deepali feels better.
Suva Aai – He won’t. He won’t. And Maai and Panna… you two stop holding onto false hopes. If he wanted to come, he could have come right after Deepali got stable but did he come? He didn’t. What did he have to do? Just tie the Mangalsutra, take the elders’ blessings and then he could have gone back but did he come? He didn’t.Â
Babi Aatya – You are absolutely right. Had he come and tied the Mangalsutra around my neck – I would have held his hand, gone to the hospital and taken care of Deepali but the fact is that Bhaskar doesn’t care about me.
Maai – None of us is trying to understand Bhaskar. He is between the devil and the deep sea.
Babi Aatya – Do you want to see me falling low in my own eyes? I loved him so much. Tell me something… if there was nothing between him and Deepali – why did he take so many years to come back? You know when he returned and told me about his past life, I admired him but I can’t compromise my self-respect and marry him after what he has done today. Why am I supposed to always understand? Why am I supposed to always adjust? Why am I supposed to always compromise?
Shashank and Apurva enter the room.Â
Shashank – You don’t have to. Nobody is forcing you for anything. You are capable of taking your decisions and everyone in our family will respect whatever you will decide. Why are you getting worried about it?
Apurva walks up to Babi Aatya, assuring her that nothing is over her self-respect for them. She hugs Babi Aatya, promising that she will never let her fall weak and alone.
The next day, everyone knocks on Babi Aatya’s door but she doesn’t open the door. When their every attempt to call for her goes in vain, Apurva brings the harmonium and starts singing with Vitthu Baba, much to everyone and even Babi Aatya’s annoyance.Â
Babi Aatya is forced to open the door when the duo and their singing skills get unbearable. Everyone rejoices to see Babi Aatya. They walk into her room and Vitthu Baba almost blurts out that they were worried if she has taken any wrong step.
Babi Aatya assures everyone that she is not that weak and she will never do anything of that sort, adding that she was tired and fell asleep.Â
Suva Aai adds that they all were worried but Apurva had a firm belief that she wouldn’t do anything of that sortÂ
Babi Aatya thanks Apurva for believing in her. Asking Babi Aatya to get ready and come for breakfast, everyone walks out.
Kukki comes up with a suggestion that they shouldn’t be leaving Babi Aatya alone, adding that someone should stay with her.
After finding faults in everyone who is willing to stay with Babi Aatya, the responsibility is given to Apurva despite Shashank’s warning. Ignoring her husband’s annoyance, Apurva is all excited and thrilled to stay with Babi Aatya.Â
The scene shifts to Deepali’s home where Shashank and the Kukki gang have reached to check up on Deepali. When Sumi asks Deepali if she has eaten anything, Apurva reprimands Sumi for talking nicely to Deepali. Sumi says that it’s okay but it doesn’t please Apurva.
Deepali apologizes to everyone –Â you guys are getting troubled a lot because of me. Really… even if I hold my ears and apologize with folded hands… even that would be less. I am really sorry.Â
Apurva furiously rushes to Shashank and asks him why nobody is saying anything to Deepali. He asks her to let it be but she refuses to listen.
She stands up and asks Deepali how she could behave the way she did – why did you have to attempt suicide on the wedding day? Why did you do that?
Deepali – I really have no idea why I did that, Apurva.
Apurva – But I know. why you did that. I know why you did that. You purposely did that. You have separated Bhaskar Kaka and Babi Aatya who love each other so much. Why did you do that? Forget about everything else… but Bhaskar Kaka… the man who offered you and your daughter so much support and love… you snatched that man’s share of happiness from him?
M YÂ Â T A K EÂ
Apurva crossed the line today which she shouldn’t have. The very fact that Apurva had no consideration that Deepali had just woken up from her deathbed and the last thing that anyone should be doing was touching on the very topic that was somewhere the reason why she tried to end her life simply put me off. Apurva was unbearable to me when she was talking to Deepali. Had I not had to write this review, I would have fast forwarded.Â
I don’t think anyone – anyone in their sane state of mind – can and will justify or defend suicides but it’s hard not to be both sympathetic and empathetic toward the individuals. Apurva was plain insensitive and just unacceptable to me in the way she treated Deepali today.Â
The justification that she would have attempted it again had I not said all of it simply doesn’t work. In fact, that just says that Apurva needs to spend a lot of time learning basic human psychology. Â
Yelling and screaming at someone whose mental health is compromised enough to attempt suicide, blaming them for the very reason they attempted suicide because of, constantly reminding them that they have ruined someone’s life is not how you make sure that the person will not make another suicide attempt again.
Such individuals need more love, affection and care and definitely not blame and accusations right after they regain consciousness.
I get it that Apurva is upset with what happened to Babi Aatya and somewhere, Deepali is the reason. Nobody is denying that but that’s not the way you treat people like Deepali, Apurva. That’s not the way.
Now, that’s my perspective as a viewer but Apurva in her place is probably realistic the way her personality is. I’ll tell you why. If someone ends up becoming a reason for my people’s misery – am I going to care about their backstory or reasons? Maybe not. My priority would be that you have hurt my people and that is why I cannot stand you.Â
However, that works just fine in general situations but in a situation where the situation is as delicate as the one that is here and you are dealing with someone who is just out of a suicide attempt – you have to care unless you are too insensitive to bother about someone’s life or death.
Again – Apurva had no right to question Deepali’s love for her daughter. That’s simply not your zone to enter, Apurva. That’s not your zone to enter.Â
I am not much into offscreen things but I remember having watched one interview of Dnyanada and Chetan where Dnayada said that Apurva is instinctive. She says and does what she feels like at the moment and while she does like that quality of Apurva, it gets annoying at times and makes her say –Â oof, at least think a bit about what you are saying, where you are saying and who you are saying it in front of. That does resonate with me. Particularly in this episode.
You have no idea what that woman’s life has been like for the past several years. You have no idea what all that she has been through. You have no idea what it must have been like for her to give up on her daughter and her life. You simply have no idea and that is why you should not touch on that topic.Â
Apurva surely has a past. A lot of us do but we cannot bring it up and slap it on someone’s face every time we see something relatable happening because even if the situations may seem similar, nothing else is.Â
In the whole conversation, the only people I could appreciate were Deepal who stayed quiet throughout and used her words only to apologize and the Kukki gang who clearly seemed to know when to speak, where to speak and what to speak.Â
What Deepali has done is definitely anything but right and it takes a lot to acknowledge and accept that. The shame that comes with attempting suicide is a whole different topic altogether. Despite it all, Deepali held herself together really well. I have to appreciate this survivor.Â
Babi Aatya’s conversation with the Kanitkar women was interesting. One of her questions that really resonated with me today was – if there was nothing between Bhaskar and Deepali then why did it take him so many years to return?Â
I haven’t watched those episodes. I think the only part that I have watched was when Babi Aatya locked herself in her room after knowing that Bhaskar was around and the bit that I know is Babi Aatya used to think all these years that Bhaskar married someone and has a daughter.
Now, this has a lot of conflicts like how and when exactly Babi Aatya got to know that Bhaskar got married to someone, why Bhaskar never called and cleared the misunderstanding, why he couldn’t come back for a day or two to reveal the truth just in case we consider that she refused to take his calls. Maybe I need to go back to watch the confrontation to get some clarity. If any of you have seen the track and know anything about this, please share in the comments.Â
Babi Aatya’s decision to call off the wedding may seem weird to some because she was the one to let him go but honestly, the decision doesn’t seem weird to me. She did let him go but probably, a part of her had this silent hope that he would return to complete the wedding. Or at least call her. And communicate about what’s happening over there, share the details and just have a heart-to-heart conversation.Â
I don’t think Babi Aatya’s decision would have been the same in that scenario. If he could just call her, talk to her and genuinely express that no matter how much he loves her, he just cannot leave Ovi over there and marry her in the kind of mindset that he is in – things would have been a lot different.Â
But the very fact that he kind of abandoned her at the Mandap and did not try to talk to her even once had to be that last nail in the coffin.Â
Babi Aatya – never once – said that Bhaskar does not love her. All that she said was – he did/does not care about her.Â
Even that’s not true but from Babi Aatya’s perspective, it is.Â
Babi Aatya is a beautiful soul. She did call off the wedding for her self-respect but she did not shy away from admitting that she does not want to receive Ovi and Deepali’s hatred. That’s one of the major reasons. She is simply not someone who will be willing to build the castle of her happy life by crushing the feelings of two people under it.
Apurva and Babi Aatya’s small moment was precious and so was Apurva’s confession that she would never let her fall weak and alone. That forehead kiss was so heartwarming. Â
Guru-Shishya and their impromptu singing session!
Oof. The less we talk about this duo and their (not-so) sweet singing session, the more and better!
I am just kidding. It was hilarious. I am always laughing whenever these two start singing. It’s a hilarious sight and the one whose reaction is the most worth watching is the singing superstar of Kanitkars, Mr. Shashank Surila Kanitkar! Hearing these (be)surile folks, his (magically)surila throat must be weeping. Haha!Â
Poor Babi Aatya! Even slamming the pillow on her ear couldn’t block the noise. I mean… the voice.Â
I was almost afraid if Uthi Uthi Gopala would receive Babi Aatya’s response that would be Uthi Uthi Mazya Chapla! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
God save from such mornings!
The whole conversation that followed was so genuine. The concern. The assurance. The affection. The acceptance. The confession. I loved it.
Everyone wanted to stay with Babi Aatya but none was allowed except for Apurva.Â
I wonder if Mr. Kanitkar has contemplated how he is going to stay away from his wife whom he can’t even stand disappearing from his sight for five minutes.Â
I also wonder if Mrs. Kanitkar would be still so excited if she realized that staying with Babi Aatya also means staying away from her (not-so-anymore) khadoos and teddy.Â

I have included the continuation of Kanitkars and Deepali’s scene from today’s episode in this review because I wanted to get the whole thing done in a go. This is completely my perspective. You can have a different one. I would love to hear if you do. Like I always say, we can always agree to disagree.

Much love. 💜
Totally agree with you about Deepali. Apurva crossed the line but her nature can’t help it. I feel after marriage she changed a lot nowadays she reduced her tone and understanding level also. But yesterday episode crossed the line because she always think about loved once first but we can’t support that behaviour
You got it.
Yes I agree that Apurva was a little rude today but i also think that it was necessary to make deepali understand that what she has done is wrong. May be apurva timing and words were inappropriate.
Indeed. Deepali’s needs to acknowledge that the step that she had taken wasn’t the right one but that’s the thing. Yelling, blaming and accusing people can do anything but help them understand anything. It just doesn’t work that way. Especially with people who are not mentally sound which Deepali isn’t at the moment. The very fact that she chose suicide as her way out gives away that her mental health is not at its best. Blames and accusations will only aggravate the person’s conflicts. Like you said, Deepali definitely shouldn’t have done what she did and Apurva’s words, tone and timing were inappropriate. No denying there. Thank you for sharing your perspective. 🤗
