Thipkyanchi Rangoli – Episode 190 – Written Update and Episode Review

I will always linger around even when you push me away,
For my heart has vowed to do whatever it would take for it to make sure that you’re okay.
‘You don’t need me’ – even if those are the only words that you can bring yourself to say,
I shall stand here the whole night and perhaps, even the whole life to remind you that I have promised myself to take care of your smile every day.

W H A T   H A P P E N E D   I N   T H E   E P I S O D E ?

The episode begins with Apurva covering Babi Aatya’s eyes and bringing her to the hall where Kanitkars are already present. As Apurva takes her hands off Babi Aatya’s eyes, she reveals that they have planned a special movie night, particularly for Babi Aatya since she is so truly fond of movies

Everyone settles down and Amey starts connecting the projector but Dada-Kaka says that he would go back to his room if it’s going to take very long. Apurva and Shashank come up with an impromptu dance performance to entertain everyone until Amey fixes the problem.

Everyone has fun as Apurva and Shashank dance on Radha Radha. Later on, Sumi and Prachi bring snacks for everyone and Kanitkars chill together.

Apurva says that in a film, there is a bit of horror, thriller and romance and now they are going to watch a romantic angle.

Shock plasters over the faces of Kanitkars except for Shashank and the Kukki gang as they watch Bhaskar on the screen. Bhaskar apologizes once again to Babi Aatya and the whole Kanitkar family for whatever happened and urges them to give him one more chance.

Bhaskar – Hi, Vidya. I did come to your home to say sorry to all of you but none of you really listened to me or tried to understand me. Vidya, I really need you to calmly ponder over the whole situation, how wrong I was in it and how much fault I truly had in whatever happened. How fair and right it would have been had I ignored my responsibility as a doctor and come back to complete my wedding? I could have done that but if something had happened to Deepali then you would have blamed yourself more than me. Who knows you better than me, hmm? I am not allowing anything to stain our love, Vidya.

I could have come back after admitting Deepali but you are the one who has always told me how wrong it is to leave the responsibility that we have taken in the middle. When I was telling you that I will make arrangements for Deepali and Ovi to stay somewhere else the other day – you were the one to tell me that now that I have taken their responsibility, I must take care of it till the very end. Now, while fulfilling my responsibility toward Deepali, you may have felt that I was irresponsible toward you but it’s not the case.

Vidya, I have always considered Ovi and Deepali as my responsibility but I never considered you one. You are my love and I rushed to Deepali’s aid, believing that my love would never come in between my responsibility. I am selfish. I only care about my responsibilities, and I don’t absolutely care about your emotions and feelings – please don’t hold this misunderstanding. I leave it to you now if we will get married or not. In my eyes, we are husband-wife.

I stayed loyal to our love till the date and I shall stay loyal to this relationship forever, I promise you that today. Dr. Bhaskar will wait for Mrs. Vidya Bhaskar for his whole life. Maai-Dada, Suva Vahini, Vithu Daa.. all of you people… I seek forgiveness with folded hands. I am a culprit but I hope that you will reconsider the situation and everything that has happened and will forgive me. I am really sorry.

Furious upon feeling betrayed and salt being rubbed on her already raw wounds, Babi Aatya sternly asks them to shut the video. Enraged, she walks toward Apurva and calls her out – I know that you are pure at heart and naive but are you so immature that you can’t respect someone’s feelings? 

Dada-Kaka asks Babi Aatya to calm down, telling her to understand Apurva as all that she is trying to do is somehow fix the things that have gone wrong in her life.

Visibly furious, Babi Aatya leaves without uttering another word.

Later at the night, Shashank finds Apurva sitting alone on the couch. He touches her shoulder when she does not acknowledge his presence.

Shashank – Apurva, don’t want to sleep?

She shifts her tear-filled gaze to him as she asks him if she has really ended up making a serious mistake – what have I done? Have I hurt Babi Aatya so much in the process of understanding Bhaskar Kaka? Babi Aatya will never talk to me again.

Shashank quickly sits beside her as he assures her that nothing of that sort is happening – Babi Aatya’s anger doesn’t last long. Mark my words. She will herself come to talk to you tomorrow morning. Don’t worry. Okay, let’s sleep? It’s quite late.

Apurva – Let it be however late it can be. Until Babi Aatya takes me into her room, I am going nowhere. I will sit outside her room. For the whole night.

She gets up and moves toward Babi Aatya’s room, leaving a helpless Shashank behind.

Apurva constantly knocks on Babi Aatya’s door, apologizing to her and urging her to open the door but Babi Aatya refuses to let her in. She asks Apurva to leave, stating that she does not need anyone’s fake sympathy. Apurva’s attempts don’t cease but Babi Aatya stays firm on her word.

While Babi Aatya remembers everything that Bhaskar has just said on the video call, Apurva sits outside Babi Aatya’s room.

M Y   T A K E 

What started as a light-hearted episode ended up becoming quite an intense one by the end.

Apurva’s honest attempt to let Bhaskar have a chance to say whatever that he couldn’t express when he had come to their home was genuinely nice. Just gives away how desperate Apurva is for Babi Aatya’s happiness since Apurva was one of the people who were terrifically upset with and mad at Bhaskar because intentionally or unintentionally he made Babi Aatya suffer and that was just enough for Kanitkars to hold it against Bhaskar.

Apurva has been the one who has perhaps called out Bhaskar without any hesitation. She was upset with the choice that he had made and she let go of absolutely no chance to let him see that she does not appreciate it but only for the sake of Babi Aatya, Apurva kept her anger aside because she acknowledges that Babi Aatya’s happiness lies within Bhaskar no matter what.

She hadn’t missed the strange excitement and enthuasiasm shining on Babi Aatya’s face when she was showing her the old movie tickets and sharing the fond memories of her once beautiful past with Bhaskar. It was probably more than enough for Apurva to see how deeply Babi Aatya is in love with Bhaskar and that made Apurva keep aside everything and give Bhaskar a chance. Only for Babi Aatya. 

I am not quite sure if I got the silent signals that Apurva and Shashank exchanged but I guess, she was urging him to sing so that they entertain Kanitkars for a while till they can get Bhaskar on the line. I loved the dance though. It was fun. Almost had me feel that Shashank was confessing the genuine feelings of his heart.

कुणीतरी सांगा अशी रुसू नको बाई,
कृष्णाला या तिच्याविना कुणी सुद्धा नाही!

Had me remind all of the times Apurva got upset with Shashank because of Netra and the poor fellow couldn’t even verbally confess that he gets so lost when she doesn’t talk to him.

गोपिकांचा नाद सोडून कान्हा झालाय सिधा साधा!

Our Kanha was never into any Gopikas though but the Kanha definitely needed to acknowledge that his Radha was getting hurt because of a Gopika that left no stone unturned to make his Radha believe that his Kanha was neither meant to be hers nor she deserved him.

Because our dearest Kanha had chosen silence back then,
He can’t quite complain if that would lead to his wife driving him insane.
He ended up writing a whole lot of struggles in his stars every time he allowed the Gopika to scar his Radha’s heart,
Kanha would have to pour his heart out to Radha to make her believe that Kanha is of only his Radha without whom his whole world will fall apart.

What followed the sweet dance was the exact opposite to it – bitter confrontations. I really liked everything that Bhaskar said. For me, he was being extremely, extremely honest and honesty is something that has always mattered to me. Bhaskar’s confession that he would wait for Mrs. Vidya Bhaskar was such a beautiful, beautiful moment for me. In all honesty, Bhaskar won me there. There is just no denial there. You just see how much this man loves his woman and it’s an absolutely wonderful sight to witness.

It was only and only Bhaskar’s honesty that moistened the eyes of Kanitkars.

Babi Aatya couldn’t stand what was thrown at her when she wasn’t prepared for it though. Her reaction had me realize how often we do that in real life as well. When something is not going right and one of our loved ones tries to fix it their way – it ends up infuriating you like it infuriated Babi Aatya. We are so attached to the situation because it is our situation and so consumed by the whole events that outbursts… happen. Unless you are into meditation and extremely, extremely calm as a person – outbursts like these… happen very often. We just end up shouting and screaming at the one who was actually trying to fix things for us.

But I loved Apurva’s stance that she would stick to Babi Aatya’s door until she takes her in. That’s how you resolve conflicts with your family. Everyone can’t be upset with each other. Everyone can’t be shouting and getting mad at the same time. When one shouts, the other has to listen. When one gets mad, the other has to pacify. When one wants to leave, the other has to hold on. That’s how families stay together.

Shashank lingering around Apurva has become so natural that I don’t even know what to say about it anymore because I feel I already have said so much.

She is his favorite road to walk on now.
She is his favorite direction to look in now.
She is his favorite destination to reach now.
She is his favorite person to adore now.

He will just find her. Always. No matter what the situation is. No matter what the circumstances are. Even in the moments of conflict, he will just find her. He will just find her because that’s where he realizes that he belongs now. With his wife.

Yet another marvelous episode! I loved it.
