Your relationships will crumble if you don’t take care,
Your people will be out of your reach if you cause damage that’s beyond repair.
Conflict is a part of life but a misunderstanding is your choice,
Protect your relationship by not allowing lies, always giving the truth your voice.
You will mess up time and again and that’s okay,
Long as after realization, your sincere apology and efforts don’t see a delay.

Episode 377
S comes home and Mai asks him where DK is. S calms her down and says the police didn’t let him go.
Sua says but why, when there’s no reason for it. S stares at Appu. The family says no lawyer is ready to take this case because it’s against BDK.
Sua asks S what to do now? S says why are asking me, ask her, your dearest. Appu is responsible for all of this! BDK showed his anger at Appu onto DK. The family gets shocked.
S asks Appu why she behaved with BDK like that. Appu says what did I do wrong, he deserved it. Sua tells them not to fight and asks S why he’s yelling at her. S tells the family what Appu did. Appu says I showed him his place, he thought we would tolerate everything calmly, no way. And after seeing DK in jail, I’m sure that I’m right, I have no regrets about anything!
The family is shocked and Kukki and Amey say Appu’s right, BDK deserves this. Sua asks if we should behave like him too.
Appu says this is tit for tat, we react based on how they act and now I will punish him even more.
S yells at her to stop it and says this is all because of you. Sua tries to stop S and tells S to be calm. She tells Appu I understand your anger, but you know what kind of person BDK is so why did you do that?
S says no use of saying any of this now, it’s too late, BDK threatened me that he will punish all of us for Appu’s actions. He started it with DK getting arrested. You made DK have to sit with those criminals in the cell and you are responsible for all of this. When are you going to grow up?? You always make mistakes and always behave like a child, this has become normal for you!
Appu asks normal?
S says yes, this is normal for you, you always mess up, and everyone takes your side. I don’t understand, when everyone has to face the consequences, why do none of you say something? I’m really tired of this now.
Kukki tries to calm down S and says Appu is not alone, Amey and I were also with her. S applauds them and says I knew she couldn’t have done this alone.
Appu says BDK is trying to keep us quiet so should we really be like that? I can’t do that.
S yells at her to stop it and not to say another word now. He says now I’m starting to understand what outsiders have been telling me. It’s my fault actually. Marrying you was the worst decision of my life, I’m actually regretting it now.
Sua tries to calm him and says you are talking in anger now.
S says I’m not saying it in anger, I’m right, what did I say wrong? This marriage really was a mistake, I can never forgive her for any of this. DK brought her into this house as a DIL and she sent that DK to jail! If I had stayed firm on my decision of not marrying her, then DK wouldn’t have to be in this situation today. I’m actually regretting it.
S is in tears, while Appu is speechless and the family is shocked.
Shashank walks away and Appu cries. VB and Kukki say Appu did the right thing.
Appu says forget all that, what about Khadoos, why does he have a problem with everything I do? Why does he react like this? Why can’t he understand me?
Sua tries to say it’s not like that. Appu asks what does he think? I didn’t feel bad seeing DK like that, but who cares about my feelings? He regrets marrying me right?
Appu walks away and Mai and Sua are in tears while everyone is tense.
KG comes to Appu and tries to make her stop crying. Appu says why did he have to say all of this, I did it for the family right? Sumi says he said it in anger. Appu says he said it to me, he’s upset because of me.
Kukki says it’s because he found out about all of this from BDK, if we had told him before, he wouldn’t have reacted so badly!
Appu says if we had told him, would he have agreed? I felt like this was the way to behave with someone who kicked us out of our own house, that’s why I did it, but he doesn’t understand. Manasi says S might have said all of this in anger but you can’t deny that BDK is doing this all because of what you did to him.
Appu says but then he should have punished me, not DK, he wasn’t even here when all this happened and he still doesn’t know about it. Kukki says it’s because DK is the pillar of this house, he did this on purpose. But DK will have to suffer a lot because of this.
Appu says I felt guilty when I saw DK in that situation and everyone at home is also disturbed, no one ate. Sumi and Manasi says no one feels like eating. Kukki says we all have to be together, we can’t be angry with each other.
BB comes there with food. Kukki says there is no need.
BB says I know you don’t like me coming here, but I really felt like doing something for you. Panna says we really don’t want to eat right now. BB tries to convince them that it will go to waste. Kukki says don’t you understand, we don’t want it. Shashank comes then and sees BB but ignores her.
Mai asks S if he got bail. S says the court is closed for 2 days so it’s not possible for at least 2 days, we will do something. Appu tells him how can we be quiet for 2 days, no way, we have to do something.
S ignores Appu and tells Kukki he has to talk to him about something important and takes him aside.
Appu calls after S and tells him to wait and asks what’s going on, I’m asking you something. S ignores her and takes away Kukki.
BB thinks something went wrong between ShAppu, and that’s why S is angry, which means Appu did something again. This is great, this is the chance to make a place for yourself in Shashank and the family’s hearts. She puts the food aside and starts cleaning up around the house.
Panna stops her and BB says it’s my responsibility/duty. The family gets shocked, DA and BA come there just then.
DA yells at BB and asks her what she’s doing here. BB says I came here for some office work with S. DA says office work is in the office and tells her to leave. BB says I brought food. DA says I have DILs to make food and tells BB to get out!
BB leaves and DA asks Appu who told you to put dung on his face. Appu looks at S, Kukki goes to talk in between but S stops him. Appu says whatever I did was right, he did wrong so I punished him.
S scoffs. DA asks do you see the consequences of that now? Appu says but you told me that we should punish the person who misbehaves with us, that’s why you gave the dung cake task, that’s why I gave him the same punishment.
DA asks S if he is hearing this and says your wife is putting the blame on me. She did the over-smartness and is blaming me now
Appu says it’s not like that. DA says I don’t wanna hear anything, fix your mistake, DK is in jail and it’s your task to get him out. Appu says we are all trying.
DA says not all of you, you alone, you’re his ladki DIL right, so get him out. I don’t care how. Until DK is not back in this house, don’t come in front of me.
Appu gets shocked and looks at S who turns away from her quietly. Appu tries to talk again. DA stops her and says you figure out how to get him out, but until then don’t show me your face.
Mai and BA try to calm her down and tell her not to make decisions in anger. DA says I’ve thought well about it, you don’t need to plead for her. BA tries to talk but DA cuts her off and says she made the mistake so she should be punished.
Episode 378
Kukki asks S to make DA understand. S says Appu didn’t leave any scope for me to say anything. Appu says arey Khadoos, why do you always blame me?
S says because now I don’t trust you anymore. I called you when I was leaving the institute asked you where you were going, what did you say, to your Atya? But she didn’t go to her Atya, she went to BDK’s office. You lied to me, right?
Appu nods and accepts it.
S says I’ve told you a thousand times to tell me when you do such things, but no, she did the same mistake again. So tell me, how should I defend you?
S asks Kukki how he should defend Appu now? Kukki says whatever Appu did was to teach BDK a lesson, so why are you yelling at her, and I told you, Amey and I were also with her, why are you blaming only her?
DA says you also want to go with her then go. DA asks Appu why she’s still standing here and tells her to get her things and leave. S turns away silently. Appu glares at S and goes and packs her things.
Sumi and Manasi try to stop her but Appu packs her things and tells them not to stop her, I’m at fault so I should be punished.
Appu looks at S but he doesn’t even look at her. Appu thinks will you say something or not? S doesn’t even look at her side. Mai asks her not to leave but Appu walks away from there silently.
S is angry but also tearful. Mai is crying.
Appu stops at the sidewalk and wonders where to go and what should I do. One thing is for sure, until I get DK out, I won’t go back to the house. I will complete this challenge from DA. Now my only motive is to get DK out of this false accusation.
Appu gets a call from someone who says it is not important to know who they are but tells Appu that they have some clue about BDK and Appu asks them for some address.
Appu calls Kukki who apologizes on behalf of DA. Appu says first listen to me and tells Kukki something and says she will send him the address and tells Kukki not to tell anyone anything
Appu says to herself watch how your plan backfires BDK.
Appu and Kukki enter the party in disguise. BDK asks his assistant who they are and he says Idk, I didn’t invite them. BDK says ok, I will check and he listens to them from afar.
Kukki tells someone on the phone they want a chartered flight for tomorrow. BDK wonders who these rich people are and how they came here. I have to introduce myself and get to know them, I can’t leave such a chance.
Kukki tells Appu to be ready and calls someone and says they want a big heritage property in Nashik. BDK goes and introduces himself and tells about his construction company.
Kukki introduces Appu as some Princess.
Kukki tells BDK that she wants to buy a big heritage property. They tried in Delhi and Nashik but haven’t found anything yet, tomorrow they will go to Delhi. Appu says they want to build a resort in that place. Kukki says their investment is 200 crores.
BDK gets surprised and says he has one, like a palace and asks them if they want to see it. Appu tells Kukki to call the agent and ask. BDK thinks that it looks like a big party, they are searching for an old property and the K house is exactly it.
Ever since I made this deal, it’s been bad luck. I need to get rid of this. Kukki yells no cheating on the phone and cuts the call. Kukki tells BDK that they must have seen the property already. BDK says not possible, I’ve kept it hidden and asks if they can see the property today. Appu says tomorrow.
Kukki relays the same but starts coughing in between and his mustaches comes a little loose. BDK calls for water and all and Appu fixes Kukki’s mustaches in between. But BDK sees Appu sitting down and gets suspicious and thinks something is fishy.
Appu thinks if he finds out now, then the whole plan will be a flop. She hints at Kukki who continues coughing. BDK gives him the water. BDK asks them in Marathi if he should an appointment to see the palace today or tomorrow.
Appu asks Kukki what he said and Kukki relays the message and Appu says not today, tomorrow. Kukki tells BDK tomorrow. BDK says enjoy the party and I’ll come in 2 minutes.
Appu and Kukki get tense. BDK walks away and calls someone. Appu tells Kukki that their plan is working and gets happy that BDK is getting trapped in their plan and trusting them. BDK looks at them, Kukki says what do we say when he comes back.
Appu says we told him tomorrow right? Kukki says what tomorrow right, I’m getting very tense. Appu tells him to stay calm. BDK thinks I feel like I’ve seen them somewhere, who are they, where did I see them?
BDK sees Kukki talking who accidentally pulls at his mustache which falls half off, but BDK sees it before Kukki fixes it! He remembers Appu and Kukki interactions from before and recognizes them. They are trying to mess with me so I will show them!

M Y T A K E
Let me first admit that this was the episode that pulled me back into reviews and because I wanted to have my facts right while writing this one, I ended up binge-watching 372-376 and because I really liked the episodes, I ended up writing about all of them. I am so glad that I watched those episodes because now I can offer you something that you might want to think about.
Shashank Kanitkar
To be brutally honest, when I had watched the precap in which he says I regret marrying you, my first reaction was – oh, there he goes again! Needless to say, it sucked and I could see no reason with which this could be justified and I was all set to say goodbye to the show because I don’t accept certain things. Demeaning your partner and disrespecting your relationship fall in the category that does not impress me. It puts me off instead.
Oh well, but oh well, when I actually watched the episode, I was caught off-guard. I could actually see where Shashank was coming from and his pain had me sympathize with him instead of shaking my head at his words and I would really give it to the off-screen team of TR and Chetan Vadnere.
This episode was so well done. So well done.
Starting from him returning home and having to tell Mai that he couldn’t bring Dada-Kaka back to reaching his threshold when Suva-Aai asked him what they were supposed to do now – Shashank was as realistic and honest as he could have been.
“Why are you asking me? Ask her instead. I am sure she’ll tell us.”
She’ll tell us because she knows it all, no? That was why she went to BDK and did what she did, without bothering to discuss it with us or even inform us for that matter because she… knows it all. We… who are we? Stupid people. She… who is she? The most intelligent one out there in the world. Why every time she has to hide things from us and go ahead with executing her plans because as stupid people, we can’t help her.
We are so stupid that we’ll only ruin her smart plans. Isn’t that precisely why she lies to us? Because she knows that even if she told us her plan, we are too stupid to understand and appreciate it. She knows that we’ll only hold her back from going ahead with her smart plans because… we are stupid people, no?
Had Apurva been a little apologetic in this whole scene, I wouldn’t have been able to feel Shashank so strongly. Throughout this episode, my reactions mirrored Shashank’s because I found Apurva downright frustrating here.
“Why did you behave with BDK the way you did?”
“What did I do wrong?”
Shashank’s frustration at that moment was so real. The very fact that Apurva did not acknowledge her reckless act even once was maddening.
“DK deserved it. And after seeing Dada-Kaka’s condition in jail, I can say this with the guarantee that what I did was absolutely right. I regret nothing.”
Dada-Kaka would not have reached jail in the first place if you had not pulled this stunt, Apurva. Please, what you are saying is driving not just the man standing in front of you insane but it is making me roll my eyes too.
Apurva believing that her so-called punishment to BDK was right is not the problem here. It’s just fine if she doesn’t regret putting the cow dung on his face but what she certainly should regret and be apologetic about is the fact that – her choice of doing that to BDK is the sole reason why Dada-Kaka is in jail.
Don’t regret your actions but can you please be at least apologetic for Dada-Kaka being in jail because of that? Please? That’s basic, isn’t that?
I don’t think even Shashank expected her to say – I feel bad for putting the cow dung on BDK’s face but at least I feel bad that Dada-Kaka is in jail because of that?
Is that too much to ask for? Especially when you know what Dada-Kaka is to Shashank?
Most of us, if not everyone, have this one person we just cannot stand being hurt/disrespected/humiliated. Though there are usually quite a lot of them, there is one who just tops the list. Dada-Kaka is that person to Shashank.
Forget Apurva, if any action by Shashank had led to this, he would have hated his own self.
Agar iss ke kuch karne se Dada-Kaka ko ye din dekhna padta, to khud se bhi nafrat kar leta ye insaan.
There is no right and wrong that your mind can process when it comes to that one person. All that you can see is… that someone is suffering and you just end up despising the ones who had put that someone through that suffering.
“This is called tit for tat, Suva-Aai and now I am going to punish him even more!”
“ENOUGH!”
Shashank at this moment though. Ah, I feel for this man. If he had not said bas, I am sure I would have said it and shut the episode.
Gosh, Apurva… stop it. I have been on Apurva’s side in quite a lot of instances because that’s what felt right to me and I can’t tell you how disappointed I was in this episode to watch her acting so childish, immature, and insensitive.
Even after knowing that her act had caused so much of a mess and Dada-Kaka is still in jail, this woman had to say now I will punish BDK even more. Like how more frustrating can someone get in such a situation?
This is not the Apurva I have known. Nope. Ye koi aur hai! Haan, koi aur hi hai.
I am equally disappointed in Kukki and Vitthu Baba for taking Apurva’s side here. I am glad that at least Suva-Aai spoke the truth – tula raag yena sahajik aahe. Mi samju shakte pan to DK kay laykicha maanus aahe tula mahiti aahe na. Mag kashala wakdyat shiraycha, Bala?
And that is exactly how it is. Everyone is mad at BDK and rightfully so but not giving in to your anger is the only way you can prevent the situation from worsening at times. Like I have already said – it’s not about right and wrong. It’s about making calculated moves because you are already trapped and can’t afford to make choices that would make things even more complicated.
“Arey kon kuthle te gunda… tyanchyat neun basavla aahes tu Dadanna. Ya saglya paristhiti la tu zababdar aahes.”
Sigh. My heart hurts because this man’s pain is so raw and unfiltered. You see it right in his stance, voice and eyes. Even though he is standing here, his heart is still in jail while his mind is silently sulking, not knowing how those criminals must be treating his Dada-Kaka.
“DK aapli power dakhavun aaplyala gappa karaycha prayatna kartoy. Aapan kharach gappa rahaycha aahe ka? Mala te jamnar nahi!”
Apurva, tamb na zara. Zara? Please? The very fact that you don’t understand that not retaliating does not equal to accepting defeat says that you still have a long way to go.
When you are alone and trapped by a group of people who can harm you, fighting with them is foolish, and escaping is wise. You can’t choose to show them their place right at that moment because they are wrong. They are wrong, that’s the undeniable truth but your priority has to be your safety at that moment. You can get them punished later on but at that moment when you are trapped, you don’t have the liberty to get into a fight with them.
The point I am trying to raise here is – every situation is different. Retaliating is not always smart and having the patience to act with decent planning is not always foolish. You have to see which situation demands what from you.
And there came the words everyone hated to hear.
“Mala pashchatap hotoy. Tuzyashi lagna karna ha mazya aayushyatla saglyat chukicha nirnay hota. Jar tuzyashi lagna na karnyachya mazya nirnayavar mi thaam rahilo asto tar aaj Dadanvar aani mazya gharchyanvar hi vel aali nasti. Jya Dadanni ila itkya vishwasane sun mhanun ya gharat aanla tya Dadanna ine police station chi payri dakhavli? Police station chi payri!”
Never in my wildest dream had I thought that I wouldn’t be mad at words like these someday. Never in my wildest dreams.
No, the words are still very harsh but couldn’t infuriate me and I think, it’s because I feel every single word uttered by Shashank was out of exasperation more than rage.
He blamed himself more than Apurva. He blamed his choice of not staying firm on his decision to marry her. He blamed himself for giving in. More than anyone else, he blamed himself.
Shashank has been wrong a whole lot of times in the past lekin yaha to kya hi galti thi bande ki?
His words are unacceptable, I don’t deny that but then again Apurva is being unacceptable too in my eyes in this particular issue at least.
It’s because I can see the unbearable pain she has put him through that forced him to say what he did – I can’t seem to take his words seriously. I can’t seem to mind his outburst.
“But what about Khadoos? Why does he have to react like this no matter what I do?”
Because you lie to him. Because you do things behind his back. Because your actions create chaos that hurt those people he can’t stand a scratch over. It’s because you lie to him. It’s because he falls flat to his face in front of the world because he has no clue what his wife does behind his back. It’s because you don’t respect your relationship enough to at least make him aware of your plans. Only if you had told him, he might haven’t agreed to it but could be at least prepared to handle the matter if your plan backfired but you didn’t allow him that liberty. It’s because… you lie to him!
“Why can he never understand me? Why doesn’t he care about my emotions?”
Do you understand him? Do you care about his emotions? If you did, you wouldn’t have been stubborn enough to run in the race to prove how you were right in what you did. If you had understood him, you would have known what torment he is battling. If not anything, you would at least admit that you regret that your action caused Dada-Kaka to get arrested. Do you understand him? Do you care about him? Do you, Apurva?
“If we had told Shashank everything, this wouldn’t have been the situation. It’s because he got to know things from DK, he is reacting this way!”
Thank you for stating some facts, Kukki. I wish Apurva could understand this but she doesn’t. And this is the unfiltered truth.
“What are you saying, Kukki? Would he have let us do this if we had told him?”
No, he wouldn’t have and Dada-Kaka wouldn’t have been behind bars so I guess, that would have been better?
“Shashank might have said a whole lot of hurtful things to you in anger but you can’t deny that BDK is taking revenge because of your cow dung act with him.”
Thank you, Manasi for stating it loud and clear.
“But why? Why does he have to punish Dada-Kaka for something that I have done? Punish me.”
And that’s how you give away that you are yet to mature, Apurva. The world is not a fair place. You can crib about it but it’s pointless. You expecting a lion not to eat you because you don’t eat him is not just ignorant but also foolish.
Shashank’s silent treatment to Apurva was another hard-hitting moment. Kya bolega insaan jab dusre ko kuch samajh hi nahi aa raha?
Even then Apurva had to say – Dada-Kaka will stay in jail for two days? NO. Should we sit idle because the court is closed for two days? No no no. We have to do something. You think of some idea, no?
And it’s officially confirmed how impractical Apurva Vartak Kanitkar is. What are you going to do if the court is closed for two days? Punch and kick the door of the court and crib – this is unfair, you can’t close your door when my Dada-Kaka needs you, I will punish you?
Sorry but Apurva exhausted me in these two episodes.
Apurva Vartak Kanitkar
Now that we have seen things from Shashank’s perspective, let’s try to see things from Apurva’s perspective. If I had not watched the old episodes and watched just this one – I would have called Apurva’s cow dung act reckless, childish, and immature but is it really reckless? Did Apurva really act on impulse and went ahead just to do tit for tat?
Let’s see and I must tell you that things were one-sided for me when I watched 377 – I was on Shashank’s side and Apurva annoyed me. It is when I sat contemplating that evening, I realized that there is this other side too.
From where I see it, it is reckless but perhaps, she had no choice or maybe she just went ahead with the first thing that came to her mind.
I think Apurva acted on emotions and not impulse.
It was nothing but sheer desperation to get the Wada back from BDK for Kanitkars.
Nothing but sheer desperation to get the Wada back from BDK for Kanitkars.
To understand this better, we have to go back to episode 377 in which Durga Aatya asks Apurva to get the Wada back by hook or by crook.
“He bagh, Apurva. Tu na tya DK chya mage lag. Sodu nako tyala. Salo ka palo karun sod tyala. Mudda ha aahe ki tuza aajparyant cha anubhav panala laav aani ghar palat milav. Sagla mich sangaycha? Mag swatacha doka kadhi waparnar, Vichar kar aani tyala dhada shikav. Mi tuzya pathishi aahe.”
And after saying all of these things, Durga Aatya blamed Apurva. Did she really deserve to be blamed?
Wada saglyancha aahe na? Mag ka tila ektila sangitla watel te kar pan ghar parat milav?
Tila sangitla tuza aajparyant cha anubhav panala laav aani ghar parat milav. Lavla tine mag ka tila aaropichya khatlyat ubha karaycha? Tine aayushyat BDK sarkhi mansa anubhavlich kuthe? Mag kuthla anubhav wapraycha hota tine?
Lavla tine ticha doka. Tya nusar tila je suchla te tini kela mag ka nahi rahaycha tichya pathishi?
Personally, I know that the cow dung thing was never meant to result in anything but that’s me. Apurva, perhaps thought that she was just showing BDK that they are not weak, they are not going to give up so he needs to back off. That’s Apurva’s thought process which I will struggle to call out because Apurva has been a pampered kid who comes from a very lavish and sophisticated family. I am afraid, she has never encountered such situations and people like BDK in her life.
Jab zindagi ka wo pehlu kabhi dekha hi nahi to kaha se pata hoga cheeze aise bhi hackfire ho sakti hai?
Apurva’s naive question – I was the one who did everything, no? Then why is he punishing Dada-Kaka? Why doesn’t he punish me? – gives away that this woman still lives in her fairyland and can’t blame her for it. It’s how she has been brought up. She was kept away from most of the life problems from the very beginning.
Why her willingness to solve problems is very real but her ways are different!
And I feel that’s the very reason why Durga-Aatya gave the responsibility to bring back the Wada to Apurva and not anyone else because she might have felt that Kanitkars’ simple way of dealing with things might fail while getting the house back from someone as manipulative as BDK. She might have felt that Apurva could think something out of the box which had more chances of working in their favor.
And that would have been just okay if Durga-Aatya had stood by Apurva after she messed up but she asked Apurva to leave instead.
Now when I am writing this, it has already been revealed that this was Durga Aatya’s plan to make Apurva clear the mess that she has made but I knew it right when I watched that episode where she blames Apurva.
I am sure, most of you must have sensed it too. When Apurva goes to pack her bags, Durga Aatya’s expression gives away everything. I sort of knew that it was Durga Aatya’s plan alone and Shashank was probably not involved. I remember having this discussion with my friends but to be honest, this still doesn’t feel right to me.
Why Apurva alone? Why do you have to give her the responsibility and then make her resolve the mess alone if she goes wrong? That’s not how you do it. That’s not what I appreciate. Apurva messed up, I don’t deny that but asking her to leave the house – even if that was a plan – doesn’t seem right to me.
Shashank let Apurva go, which is probably the only thing because of which I am upset with him. No, I understand his anger and everything but you don’t just leave your partner’s hand because she messed up.
Couldn’t Apurva have left your hand when she found out about the lipstick thing that you hid from her? Why did she have to bother about anything else when your lie broke her heart into pieces? But what did she do? Did she leave? Try and remember, Mr. Kanitkar – did she leave? She stayed. For you. She held you when you were falling apart. She didn’t abandon you like you abandoned her here.
No, Mr. Kanitkar, I can neither understand nor appreciate you here. This… sucked.
But we’re not done yet. Watch Apurva and Mai’s scene in episode 374 and why she went ahead with the cow dung thing will start making sense to you. You can check out my previous reviews to know to what extent Apurva can go for Kanitkars. I am not repeating that here.
This scene gives away everything. When Mai raises the possibility of DK never letting them have their Wada back, what does Apurva say? – Please, trust me, Mai… I will bring this Wada back to us no matter what it takes me to do so. I won’t let you all stay here outside our Wada.
Apurva almost breaks down but you see that fierce determination in her eyes when she talks about Wada. It’s also good to remember here that even though her own attachment to the Wada is extremely strong, it’s really for Kanitkars that she wants it back at any expense. It’s because she can’t stand her family having to live outside their house that they have infinite memories attached to, she can do anything and everything to get the Wada back.
Apurva herself confessed that she has to do something right away because the morale of Kanitkars is going down. What exactly was she talking about? This one where Mai’s thoughts start going in the direction of we might never get the Wada back.
No justifications but the very reason she didn’t involve Shashank in the plan is that she knew that he wouldn’t let her do it and she wanted to do it because apparently, that was right in her eyes.
This is kind of like – if you ask a group of children to get the mangoes from the tree – there are quite some possibilities. Someone might throw stones at the mangoes. Someone might kick the tree. Someone might just end up scratching it. Someone might even start cribbing and asking the tree itself to give him the mangoes. Someone might climb the tree. Someone might bring the ladder. Someone might do something else.
Why are their ways different? Because they are different. Their thought processes are different. The task was the same for everyone – to get the mangoes from the tree. But their ways differed. They could think of solutions based on their experiences so far in life and the information that has been fed to their brain in their lives so far.
That’s what Kanitkars were doing truthfully here. Trying to get the Wada back. Bas apni apni tarah se.
Shashank’s thought process is different from that of Apurva’s so his ways of handling things are going to be very different from that of Apurva’s and vice versa. The only problematic part is that – hum sabko bas apne tareeke sahi lagte hai aur baki sab ke galat. Hum sochna hi bhul jate hai ke unke apne reasons hai jo bhi tareeke wo apnaate hai unke liye.
Shashank & Apurva
Honestly, for me, they both messed up. Apurva messed up by lying and not being apologetic about doing something that caused Dada-Kaka to reach jail and Shashank messed up by not saying anything when Aatya-Aaji asked Apurva to go and him actually letting Apurva go. Even his words about regretting the marriage need to go… permanently. I get it that he was dealing with a lot when he said that but they suck nonetheless. This should really be the last time he brought them over his lips. Really the last time.
Now, I know that episode 380 reveals that BDK was anyway going to get Dada-Kaka arrested and stuff but I don’t buy that. I can’t. It seems a forced addition to put the entire blame on Shashank and make Apurva look like the perfect soul who can never make a single mistake which is just not true.
It’s actually very realistic when both people are at fault and it is not one-sided like ek villain, ek mahaan because usually, that’s not the case in real life either.
Kisi ek ki puri galti shayad hi hoti hai. Bas dikkat ye hai – hume dikhti sirf saamne wale ki hai. Apni galti dekhte waqt to ego beech mein aa jata hai lekin galti hoti to dono ki hai. Haan, kam-zada ye alag baat hai.
I was actually impressed by episode 377 which didn’t make things one-sided but by adding that BDK was anyway going to do it with or without Apurva’s stunt is very hard for me to digest. Makes me use the term that I don’t like using – whitewashing.
Koi zaroorat hi nahi thi iss zabardasti ki addition ki. Apurva is a human who can make mistakes. The very reason I am still into TR is that it has realistic characters who have flaws. Who make mistakes.
Making mistakes is not a problem long as you –
Acknowledge.
Accept.
Apologize.
Baat khatam.
I don’t blame anyone, to begin with, because I see why they did what they did and I would like to keep it that way.
Apurva did what she did.
Shashank did what he did.
Beyond the lens of right and wrong, it eventually boils down to the fact that they acted out of their nature where nobody was deliberately trying to hurt the other. That was never the intention but they messed up. Both of them need to acknowledge that and apologize to each other in my personal opinion and learn not to repeat these same mistakes.
This is my personal opinion. You can have a totally different one. Everyone sees things differently. Please remember to not get worked up if this does not resonate with you. I don’t write to make anyone change their opinion. I can’t do that. I can only try to make you see what I see but nothing beyond that. I write because I enjoy writing and some folks enjoy reading. <3
Great review….. White wash is totally…. Totally unacceptable……😡😡
Thank you. 🤗
Let me at d outset say that I don’t condone wat Khadus said to Appu . But this time i didnt feel that angry with Shashank bcoz many a times when a couple fights or argues they say a lot of hurtful things to each other out of anger n frustration which they later regret. Same thing happened with Shashank bcoz of Dadakaka’s arrest. He felt helpless n frustrated n on top of that when he got to know that Apoorva actions led to Dada kaka being put behind bars he lost control on his temper n took out his frustration n anger on Apoorva. But what I didnt like was he let Durga aatya insult Appu n didn’t intervene even when Appu was asked to leave. Durga aatya was equally responsible for Appu’s actions . Not just DA but even Khadus who had told Appu that think why DA gave her those tasks , it was he who asked her to connect d dots . I was very upset that Shashank didn’t stop Appu from packing n leaving d house. It’s ok if he takes out his frustration on her but not ok to put entire blame of their situation on her. Appu cud have also argued that it’s you who went to BDK along with DK without telling anyone. But she keeps quite. Also I don’t mind if Shashank says something to Appu but to allow a third person ( in this caseDurga Aatya) to interfere in their life is not done n not good. A third person has no right to decide d fate of their marriage. Also we all know that Appu is immature ,(well not exactly immature but we can say a little childish – a person who has led a lavish n pampered life ), yet every time d family is in problem they all turn to her . So if you look up to her to solve ur problems u sud b prepared for d consequences – good or bad.
A lot of people don’t if not everyone. His words sucked, that stays the truth for a bunch of people including me but it’s like – if you look at only his outburst, it’s easier to blame him but how is that fair if you aren’t seeing the circumstances that led to that outburst? But these words need to go from their relationship or else they’re never going to progress.
I agree. Like I said in the review as well, it is problematic how he watched Durga-Aatya kick Apurva out and actually let her go.
Beautiful review…
I do resonate with every word you wrote regarding Shashank’s outburst. Even I was very disappointed when I saw him repeating the mistake sentence in precap. But the way it came out made the whole thing not only bearable but also acceptable to a certain extent.
The fact that Apurva didn’t even acknowledge that she messed up and was being as inconsiderate as possible towards Shashank’s point of view, is I think what made him say those words and take the blame of entire thing upon himself.
While watching Apurva’s monologue when she mentioned about Kanitkars’ falling morale, I was sure that this is the reason she will take up that reckless act. But what surprised me, was that Amey and Kukki didn’t even consider rethinking of the idea ? Sure, Apurva is a naive girl who lives in her own fairyland. But what about these both ? They do jobs, they have seen the world, right? How can they support such an impulsive idea ? Sigh…
DK saying that anyway I was going to get Dada arrested is certainly not the thing that can be accepted. Why would he get Dada arrested? Only because his family was camping outside the house? It was absolutely unnecessary.
Regarding Apurva and Shashank’s relationship, they both are flawed. And it’s okay even that way. It would be a beautiful journey if the way they complete each other is shown. There was no need to white wash and make Apurva free from all the accusations. Let her make mistakes. Let her be that girl who is a human and not a superhuman who can never err.
Shashank definitely needs to apologise for his words and not for his anger. Because the former was unacceptable, but later was his natural reaction. Because if he really meant those words, he wouldn’t have rushed to Apurva’s aid at her single text…
In the same way, Apurva should also need to at least acknowledge that her act was reckless and it worsened the situation. At least let her apologise for hiding things from him in such a critical period. Then the things would stand on same grounds. But this one sided apology game doesn’t seem fair…
Thank you, Sonu.
If you look at things from Shashank’s perspective, it feels tempting to blame Apurva. If you look at things from Apurva’s perspective, it feels tempting to blame Shashank. It is when you see his and her perspective together, it becomes tough to blame anyone.
Both messed up. The apology needs to come from both the sides.
I agree each word of your. just superb update .
Apurva should accept her mistake and apologize to dada kaka and lying to shashank
Thank you. 💜
