Thipkyanchi Rangoli – Weekly Episode Review – 201- 207

With love, trust doesn’t always come along,
Circumstances do not allow you to always sing a happy song.
At times, things break the strings of your guitar,
And end up gifting you a painful scar.
Relationships demand delicate care and an incredible amount of patience,
Sometimes, thorns of conflicts also come along with love’s fragrance.

| Dada-Kaka asks Apurva to stay calm and not let Netra shift her from her good behavior and values.

| Netra gets a hairline fracture and is advised to take bed rest.

| Shashank brings her home and insists that she will stay in his and Apurva’s room despite the persistent protest from the Kukki gang. He rejects the options of Prachi and Babi Aatya’s room as suggested by them and declares that she will stay in his and Apurva’s room.

| Netra sends Shashank a recording of her and Apurva’s conversation, making him believe that Apurva was the one to push her from the stairs.

| Apurva gets upset but allows Netra to stay in their room and tries to take care of her but Netra makes sure that Shashank stays around her in some way or the other.

| Deepali tries to keep Bhaskar and Babi Aatya away but Bhaskar skillfully tackles her.

| Apurva chooses to be patient with Shashank and tries to tell him that she did not push Netra when he makes her listen to the recording sent by Netra but he refuses to believe her. She goes to great lengths – even swears on her father which gets Shashank thinking if she is being honest but he fails to understand why Netra would try to manipulate him if Apurva is being truthful.

| Maai brings Dada-Kaka’s old letter that he had written to a poetess who he was fond of. She ends up making a statement that men have different things in their hearts and different things on their lips which gets Apurva to relate it to Shashank. Maai tells her that one must not leave his/her right on his/her people because a wife is a wife and she is irreplaceable.

| Netra continues to insult and humiliate Apurva at every step she meets her and Shashank chooses silence.

| Apurva reminds Netra that she is Mrs. Shashank Kanitkar and Netra, nothing more than an assistant.

| Netra sleeps, wearing Apurva’s clothes which makes Shashank feel that she is Apurva and he goes to adjust the hair coming on her face. He gets shocked to see that it’s Netra. Apurva witnesses the whole scene and believes that they are having fun but hears Shashank say that he thought that it was Apurva. He clears the air that it was just a misunderstanding when Netra tries to manipulate Apurva into believing that Shashank knew that it was Netra and he was pampering her.

| Deepali continues to create troubles for Babi Aatya who hides it from Kanitkars.

| The Kukki Gang comes up with several ideas to trouble Netra but Apurva does not entertain any of them, not wanting to hurt Netra and invite Shashank’s anger again.

| Netra holds Shashank’s hand and tries to stop him when he is leaving for the institute. He takes her hand off his and sternly warns her not to repeat it ever again, reminding her that she is at his house only because she is hurt.

| Apurva goes to sleep in Babi Aatya’s room but struggles to sleep without her teddy. She hugs a pillow, makes it wear Shashank’s T-Shirt and sleeps with it. The whole scene gets witnessed by Shashank who walks in to ask her why she is sleeping there. She tells him that she anyway does not get her teddy since he sleeps outside and shows him the teddy out of the pillow that she has made. She tells him that he can sleep beside her and asks if he will. He nods, saying that he will be back with his stuff.

| The Kukki Gang changes Netra’s mattress to an old one which causes her rashes.

| Shashank catches Netra sleeping on the floor and she tells him that it is because of the mattress. He checks and realizes that it is from the storeroom, Netra tells him that Apurva had come and told her that it may be because she is not used to the mattress, assuring her that even she had faced it. Shashank confirms if Apurva said it to her and presumes that it was why Apurva went to sleep in Babi Aatya’s room. He blames it on Apurva and calls her out in extremely harsh words. He tells her that Netra will sleep in Babi Aatya’s room and asks Apurva to sleep anywhere she wants to.

| A hurt Apurva leaves the room when Shashank refuses to believe her no matter how hard she tries to explain that she did not do anything. Suva Aai overhears everything.

| Apurva goes back to her room and sleeps on the same old mattress. Shashank catches the sight and asks her to sleep somewhere else but she refuses, saying that she should and would face the punishment since he feels that she was the one behind the mattress fiasco. Enraged, Shashank leaves the room after passing a mean comment that he is ashamed that Apurva is his wife.

| Suva Aai shares with Maai and Panna Kaku what she heard the previous night. Maai refuses to believe that Apurva can ever do something of that sort. Panna Kaku agrees, adding that she finds Netra extremely weird. Amey and Sumi walk up to them and tell them that Netra has been deliberately doing everything. They reveal that they changed Netra’s mattress to teach her a lesson, getting Suva Aai furious. She calls them out, revealing that Shashank has accused Apurva of a crime that she hasn’t even done.

| The duo gets shocked and rushes to reveal the truth to Shashank who does not believe them. He instead again blames Apurva saying that the Kukki Gang is taking Apurva’s deed upon themselves.

| Apurva changes the mattress and leaves her room, saying that the room no longer belongs to her and now it belongs to Netra Tai and her Shashank Sir. Netra continues to humiliate Apurva and passes the same comment that she is more deserving and that is why Shashank likes her more, adding that he is ashamed to have a wife like Apurva. Shashank asks Netra to watch her words but Apurva intervenes, saying that Netra is right, reminding him that he had said the same words to her last night. A hurt Apurva leaves the room with her bags.

| Deepali tries to plant the seed of suspicion in Babi Aatya’s mind as she asks her if it is even possible that Bhaskar developed no feelings for her despite staying with her for years. Ovi creates more trouble for Bhaskar and Babi Aatya.

| Babi Aatya comes to meet Kanitkars and ends up indirectly expressing her despair without intending to. The Kanitkar women comfort her.

| Amey, Prachi and Sumi try to cheer up Apurva who sits alone with Shashank’s sick accusations. Sumi tells Prachi to forget about everything and not let it affect her mood.

| Babi Aatya comes into the room when Apurva and the trio are dancing together. They eventually dance around Babi Aatya and have fun until Shashank comes and turns the music off and rants another rant which hurts Apurva. She rushes out of the room and breaks down. Babi Aatya follows her and consoles her when she shares what has happened in recent days. Babi Aatya accidentally reveals that somewhere, she is sailing in the same boat as well. Suva Aai overhears their conversation and realizes that she was right in guessing about Deepali’s interference in Babi Aatya and Bhaskar’s life.

| Suva Aai takes it upon herself to make Apurva and Babi Aatya understand that they cannot let a third person overload the two-wheeler of their married life. She smartly comes up with examples to put in their heads that what is theirs, is theirs. Apurva and Babi Aatya nod and get determined to follow Suva Aai’s advice.

| Netra pretends not to be able to put the ointment on her leg, manipulating Shashank into helping her. She asks him to shut the door so as to avoid any misunderstanding. He locks the door when she says that Apurva is capable of misunderstanding the whole situation. Suva Aai and Aparna Kaku reach the room and while Aparna Kaku hesitates to step in seeing the door locked, Suva Aai asks her to push the door open.

| As they step into the room, they stand visibly not pleased with the sight of Netra’s leg on Shashank’s thigh and his hands applying her the ointment. Netra quickly pulls her leg down and rises to her feet, anxious. Suva-Aai subtly taunts Netra and reminds her to behave.

Appu and Dada-Kaka!

While Dada-Kaka’s advice may not seem practical and even acceptable for that matter to a lot of you, I, personally believe – that’s a wonderful piece of advice to embrace. It has been a while since I chose the path of spirituality for myself and one of the first things that I learned was – how not to let anyone shift you from your values!

But I totally get you if his advice got on your nerves because had I heard it a year ago when I was not soul-conscious, I am sure, I wouldn’t have appreciated it either but right now, personally, that advice seems good to me.

That’s what I mentioned in the recent shot – Apurva, I Am sorry – that going indifferent to Netra is perhaps the only way to deal with her. There is absolutely no point in letting her drive you insane time and again.

People may call you stupid, filling your mind with – gone is the era of being nice. This is the era of tit for tat.

They may even call you weak for staying quiet when someone is constantly throwing insults at you but now pause for a minute and ponder over this –

When someone insults you – again and again – over and over – and you stand unfazed, with a smile because you acknowledge that the other person is showing who they are and it has got nothing to do with who you are. They provoke you – again and again – and over and over – but your mind can stay stable without getting entangled in their negativity and toxicity…

What does that make you? Weak or strong?

When something unpleasant happens or someone’s behavior is awful toward you – anyone can get mad. It’s literally the easiest thing. What does it take to get mad and start yelling? Nothing. What does it take to stay quiet and let the other one rant whatever the heck that they want without letting it drive you nuts? Strength.

Again – what does that make you? Weak or strong?

Having said that, you can’t always stay quiet. There are times when speaking is essential. It boils down to knowing when to adjust and when to confront.

I don’t even feel that Apurva needs to shut her mouth in front of Netra but I think, it would be great if she doesn’t let Netra’s words get her all miserable.

Netra Desai!

Netra Ma’am is genuinely not smart but unfortunately, common sense and the basic sense of analysis of a situation and person abandons our otherwise intelligent scientist whenever Netra enters. Can’t believe that he actually trusted that recording she showed him. Even Chintya would have understood that it was a part of the conversation and the judgment must be reserved till the whole conversation reaches him.

Our scientist quietly listening when Netra blurted out her judgment that Apurva has psychological issues while showing him that recording was genuinely extremely disappointing. Netra Desai, the cousin of Apurva Vartak Kanitkar, who hasn’t stayed with her even for a week in her whole life, loathes her presence. Every time, Apurva has gone to nicely talk to Netra Desai, all that she has been is an unbearable bitch to her. Despite the humiliation that Netra Desai put her cousin through time and again, Apurva Vartak Kanitkar has never made a single attempt to purposely put her down or trouble her in any way.

And still, Netra Desai thinks that Apurva Vartak Kanitkar needs meditation?

And still, Netra Desai thinks that Apurva Vartak Kanitkar has psychological issues?

In the first place, we need a psychiatrist to diagnose someone with psychological issues. You are a budding scientist, Netra Ma’am. Can you please stick to that?

Apurva Versus Netra!

Like I have said time and again, standing indifferent to Netra, her sick words and vile acts is the best way to deal with her. It might not be easy but it’s definitely worth it. I loved the calm approach that Apurva picked in episode 203.

That was the base of the approach that I had made Appu pick in the recent one shot that I wrote. Like Mr. Kanitkar once said – ignore Netra and her words and that’s it but it might not always be practical. The frustration crosses the threshold every now and then which makes you go – to hell with the indifference. Who the heck is she and why the heck am I supposed to deal with the crap that she throws at me? Sigh.

But I loved her calm stance in that episode though. It was incredibly cool for me. She did put her point across. She did put Netra in her place. She did show Netra where she belongs in her husband’s life and where Netra does. She did taunt Netra as well but all with a sweet smile, without getting agitated.

The Kukki Gang Versus Netra Desai!

These folks really did try and are still trying to keep the Karela Kadwa, Madam Netra away from both, Shashank and Apurva but all in vain because Mr. Kanitkar himself isn’t too willing to stay away from the Karela Kadwa, Madam Netra. There is a limit to how much others can intervene but gotta appreciate these people. They tried everything in their capability.

When they were taking Netra to get the X-Ray done, Amey went out of the way and was willing to sit beside her despite the fact that he can’t even stand her within a radius of fifty meters. Just so that Shashank does not have to sit beside her. That is huge but Netra Ma’am being Netra Ma’am, convinced Shashank Stupid Kanitkar to sit beside her.

Nikhil and Amey’s faces told the tale of the helpless frustration that they were being put through when Netra kept her leg on Shashank’s thigh. Shashank did not look too comfortable but I ain’t sympathizing with him here. He asked for it. There was no reason for him to sit beside her.

The strong and persistent oppose to Netra staying in Shashank and Apurva’s room by the Kukki Gang was great but pyase ko kue tak le ja sakte hai, paani to khud hi peena hota hai. Mr. Kanitkar ko paani peena hi nahi hai to koi kya kar sakta hai! Mr. Kanitkar ko isi kue me dhakel de? Kuch to akal aaye iss insaan ko! Sigh.

Kanitkar kids grew up with a certain set of morals and values. Screaming and yelling – those aren’t the things that go with their values but that doesn’t mean that they have it in them to be a mute spectator to the situations and people they loathe. The way Amey stormed away when he couldn’t take the Netra’s drama and Shashank’s stupidity anymore said it all.

Kukki would probably have continued to come up with some way or the other to keep Netra anywhere but in Shashank and Apurva’s room had Apurva not asked him to let it be. Same with Sumi and Prachi. I haven’t ever pondered over Prachi much because there was nothing to ponder. All that I could see was that she is sweet and sincere but even she called out Netra, without shying away. That was surprising. I did expect it from Sumi but not from Prachi. Gave away that Netra has truly got on everyone’s nerves. Nobody is able to keep calm. Everyone’s rage and annoyance are at their peaks.

They came up with a series of ideas to trouble Netra but all went unapproved by Apurva and rightfully so but something to appreciate here is how well these people have to come to understand Apurva. They know how severely Netra had hurt Apurva in past and how bothersome her presence is even now for Apurva. They even acknowledge that Netra constantly tries to get Apurva insecure and inferior. Why they came up with those ideas in the first place! More than their hatred for Netra, it’s their love for Apurva.

And eventually, they changed the mattress to trouble Netra but the poor folks had no idea that the person they were doing it for was going to get more hurt because of it. Only if they could see that Shashank who-has-lost-it Kanitkar will put the blame on Apurva, they would have never done it.

They don’t care what labels the world puts on them,
Because your happiness stays their only aim.
It is beyond them to stand someone causing you any harm,
That very sigh is more than enough for them to lose their calm.
They don’t get tired of chanting Appu Appu,
Appu, your dearest Kukki gang stands with the entire force in the universe to your rescue.

Babi Aatya Versus Deepali!

I have skipped this family for a change so can’t say much but gotta say that I am quite disappointed with Deepali. I thought that she had understood that she is not supposed to come in between Bhaskar and Babi Aatya now. I did think that she would leave the duo alone and focus on leading a better life with Ovi but this woman does not seem to realize that her actions are planting the seed of toxic hatred in her daughter as well. By the time Deepali will realize that the choices that she is making will scar Ovi’s heart and the damage would be severe – I am afraid, it will be too late.

Apurva, Babi Aatya, Suva Aai and the Scooter!

I have to admit that I am not of the kind who believes in fighting for your people to keep them in your life. I am more of the kind who believes – you don’t and won’t have to fight if they are your people so Suva Aai’s advice did not truly resonate with me but I get what she was trying to tell Apurva and Babi Aatya and it did fit the situation. I am not sure if it was the right advice or not but I can safely say that it was probably needed for the duo.

The one statement that Suva Aai made was so on point. Netra keeps scheming and you sit here, crying. Precisely what I have an issue with. See, either leave it or fight back. What’s the point of crying and getting upset? It makes no difference to the situation.

Also the scooter example made absolute sense. People may – intentionally or unintentionally – try to make you feel inferior or worthless but just because you think that someone else is more capable, you don’t give away what belongs to you, do you?

Suva Aai Versus Netra Desai!

I am genuinely glad that she has stepped into the battle because she is a capable one who has this incredible skill of putting across her point without needing to yell or scream. She knows when and how to add sarcasm to make sure that her point is taken seriously and precisely how much sarcasm to add.

The whole bedroom firing session where she caught Netra’s leg on Shashank’s thigh was perfect. Perfect is the word. Netra, who otherwise just does not care who is standing around and who says what to her, actually looked anxious and guilty and that… was definitely a sight that was worth watching.

Shashank Hypocrite Kanitkar.

Sigh. Seems like Mr. Kanitkar is hell-bent on pushing me back to the point from where it is not possible for me to admire him. Mr. Kanitkar can’t tolerate even the mere mention of Krish and the man expects Mrs. Kanitkar to tolerate Netra’s presence in their room? How? Would he have let Krish enter their room? Everyone knows the answer. Even Mr. Kanitar does.

Mr. Kanitkar becomes a hypocrite every now and then. Does he keep calm or ignore or let go when someone even slightly misbehaves with him? So out of all the people – he expecting Appu to silently bear the humiliation that Netra puts her through makes him nothing but a hypocrite.

Mr. Kanitkar needs to spend some good time reflecting on what he has been doing all along.

Somehow I don’t believe that trust naturally comes with love. I do believe that he does love her but he is not quite there yet where he has that blind trust in her which is extremely unfortunate because even Chintyaa can tell that Apurva can never deliberately harm someone.

Shashank, I feel, still somewhere believes that Apurva can do anything in her childish nature and her dislike rather jealousy toward Netra. She has expressed it a lot of times to him.

The sad part is that Shashank has never considered that his colleague is crossing the line with his wife and never genuinely made an effort to keep her away from his wife. He is like – wo jo kare, tum chup raho.

That’s not how it works, Mr. Kanitkar.

I don’t expect either of them to blindly trust each other but Shashank even considering that Apurva can purposely push Netra to hurt her is upsetting.

The only not-so-sick thing about this whole bit is that Shashank considers Appu as family. She belongs to his people. Why he is repenting for her mistake and trying to compensate for it. In his opinion.

He trusts Netra. He believes that Apurva has pushed her. Maybe one of the reasons why he was so insistent on making Netra stay with them, in their room because probably he has taken it upon themselves, believing that Apurva has deliberately harmed Netra and it is his responsibility to look after her now.

I want to say Shashank Murkh Kanitkar and Shashank Nirdayi Kanitkar but I know I can only say Shashank Hypocrite Kanitkar.  That’s who he has always been. I have mentioned this in my reviews as well how truly I despise the way he talks to Dr. Kaushik.

How quick was he to call out Apurva and remind her to keep in mind who she is talking to when she was talking to Dada Kaka and hadn’t even said anything disrespectful! Mr. Kanitkar somehow always… always conveniently forgets that decency whenever something goes even slightly off and he is talking to Dr. Kaushik.

It’s Dr. Kaushik’s sheer niceness that he lets it pass.

I don’t bother much how Mr. and Mrs. Kanitkar talk to each other but if you expect her to be nice to your family which she already is by the way – then you gotta be nice to her fam as well which he isn’t. Not a lot of times.

Why Shashank Hypocrite Kanitkar!

It’s not bad to have flaws long as you acknowledge, work on them and are willing to change. Mr. Kanitkar is yet to realize how awful he has been to Dr. Kaushik all along. I need that realization and a genuine apology to Dr. Kaushik by Mr. Kanitkar. Feels like I have been waiting since forever for it.

Mr. Kanitkar’s dream sequence was significant. Gave away that Mr. Kanitkar still has a long way to go. He thinks that he understands Apurva but that is not true. He has an image of Apurva in his head which he believes is Apurva Vartak Kanitkar but she isn’t. He is still stuck at the very first step on the road to Mrs. Kanitkar. Not sure how long he is going to take to reach her actual self that will permanently delete his version of her and replace it with her true self.

Also, Mr. Kanitkar is egoistic. Undeniably but more than his ego that comes along with his intelligence  – I think, it is also because he is extremely selective in his judgments and reactions. He doesn’t see everyone in the same light. It is different for him if it is his people vs other people.

Everything is fair and justified in his eyes that he does for his people – his anger, his frustration, the words he uses, the insults and humiliation that he offers and even physical violence for that matter ( remember how he had hit Chintya thinking it was Krish who was bothering Apurva? ) Uske logo ke liye wo jo kare wo use sahi lagta hai. He does not even hold any regret or guilt because uske liye wo galat hi nahi hai.

But change the scenario and he would act like it is the end of the world if someone does the same to him. He is extremely selective in my opinion. Conveniently selective!

Now that may bring the question – does he not count Mrs. Kanitkar in his people because he keeps mum and watches his assistant insult his wife?

I feel – again – Mr. Kanitkar is just being selective here as well. He expects Mrs. Kanitkar to be polite and nice to Netra because she is his assistant, colleague and guest at home but the moment Netra starts insulting Apurva – she becomes Mrs. Kanitkar’s cousin for him and from his perspective, he has no say in the sisters’ conflicts.

Mr. Kanitkar is a conveniently selective man. He has always been.

I did want him to trust Apurva but I acknowledge that he isn’t there yet in their relationship where he would choose her over his favorite proof. Not something that I appreciate but I get it.

Has Mr. Kanitkar been giving mixed signals to Netra Desai?

Yes and no. I have never quite felt that Mr. Kanitkar has ever given mixed signals to Netra except for one incident. I have always felt that Mr. Kanitkar has been extremely clear about the fact that he has no feelings for Netra. He might stay quiet when Netra goes on to humiliate Apurva but Mr. Kanitkar has been vocal time and again to remind Netra that regardless of what she feels for him, he has no such feelings for her.

Sure, he needs to be firmer and louder with and toward Netra –  I am in for that but if you say that he is giving mixed signals to Netra – I don’t think that’s something that I can agree to.

Netra is taking mixed signals? Sure. He is giving them? Probably not.

The only scene where I did feel that he was unintentionally giving Netra mixed signals was the hospital scene. When the doctor declares that she has a hairline fracture, Mr. Kanitkar touches her arm as he apologizes. Now, that may have been an extremely, extremely casual scene had the man not been aware of what that woman’s heart holds for him. Knowing that she likes him, any sort of physical touch that is not absolutely mandatory has to be avoided. That’s the unsaid rule that one has to follow.

Though  I do feel that it wasn’t Mr. Kanitkar’s intention, it did not look good on his part to me.

Mr. Kanitkar is one loyal man though. There has been no doubt about it. There is no doubt about it and there will be no doubt about it. I feel, even Apurva knows deep down that her husband – long as they are married – won’t cheat her even if he holds someone else in his heart like what the circumstances and even her own husband are leading her to believe. Time and again, she may feel that he loves Netra but deep down, somewhere in her heart, she knows that her husband isn’t of the kind to go after a woman till the time he is married to her.

Now you may ask what about emotional infidelity?

Mr. Kanitkar holds nobody but Mrs. Kanitkar in his heart in the first place but that’s something that we know. But even from Apurva’s perspective where she is kind of still struggling to figure out if he loves Netra – I am not sure if that counts as emotional infidelity because that would have been before marriage and before he met Apurva thing then.

Holding someone in your heart and going after them are different things in my opinion.

This whole thing is unnecessary here though because we know that this is not even the case here. Sigh.

What I meant to say was – suppose you were in love with X before you married Y. The feelings for X won’t die in a day. Like we can consider here if at all Shashank had Netra in his heart before he married Apurva.

That wouldn’t be infidelity for me.

The bed scene had to leave a lot of us bummed out but I was slightly moved by the scene. It’s a whole different thing that it was Netra but Mr. Kanitkar did not know that. He thought that it was Apurva and he went to tuck her hair strands behind her ears despite everything that had happened between them the last night. Gave away that Mr. Kanitkar’s heart had dominated the fight and forced him to believe that Apurva did not push Netra after she swore on her father but all in vain. The beautiful scene was spoiled. Courtesy to Karela Kadwa, Madam Netra!

Netra deliberately wore Apurva’s clothes because she wanted to trick Shashank into believing that she is Apurva because even she knows that he would never go close to Netra so she pretended to be Apurva.

This woman FORCIBLY WANTS to take mixed signals to the extent where she is scheming to create them. Sigh.

Why I think Shashank kept quiet when Apurva sunaoed Netra in the juice scene and why he asked Apurva to stay quiet and leave in the bed scene!

The first scene was actually significant. The man who keeps poking his nose between every two lines that his wife says sat in absolute silence when she was speaking to Netra today. He did not interrupt her even once and let her show Netra where Mrs. Kantikar stands in Mr. Kanitkar’s life and where the assistant Netra Desai stands in Mr. Kanitkar’s life. He rather looked pretty content with every word that she chose in that particular scene. Especially maza navra and I am Mrs. Shashank Kanitkar and you are his assistant ones!

I kinda felt that internally he was like – yeah, go for it. I am tired of reminding her.

He let her speak and put Netra in her place because he agrees with everything that Mrs. Kanitkar said. Everything that she said in that particular scene was everything that was the truth. Then be it the reminder that she is Mrs. Shashank Kanitkar or that she doesn’t have the habit to knock because that room is hers.

But what I feel made a whole lot of difference was her tone and the way she said it. She was neither yelling nor screaming. She was rather pretty calm, both in her stance and tone yet savage enough to show Netra her place.

That calm attitude and her choice of words were probably unexpectedly pleasant for Mr. Kanitkar because we have seen how he shrugs Apurva off every time she links him to Netra so today the way she said what she did – was actually an incredible gesture that she trusts him and her place in his life.

Like I have said before – Mr. Kanitkar is a hypocrite. Wo cheekhe chillaye chalega but Mrs. Kanitkar is supposed to pick a calmer approach.

On the contrary, Apurva lost it in the bed scene. She went back to her normal tone and even though, she wasn’t practically yelling and was actually right in the question that she asked Netra – she had let the anger and irritation take over her.

Also in the previous scene  – the matter was about his and Apurva’s relationship and here – it was the sisters’ fight. Maybe that also contributes to his response.

Mr. Kanitkar’s – kahihi kay boltey – was probably meaningless in my opinion. I think, he just kind of wanted to put an end to the argument before it could escalate.

There was a small moment where he hangs his head down after asking her to leave. Almost made me feel that he couldn’t stand himself for saying what he has been saying and behaving how he has been behaving with Apurva.

I was hoping for a continuation of the bed scene though. If not anything else then maybe just – watch your words when you talk about me again. That laad and our comfort level bits were actually offensive.

He did clarify that it was a misunderstanding and clearly said that he thought it was Apurva.  Why he went that close to her. He said it without revolving things. If Netra had been intelligent – she would get the hint. He openly let her see and know how close he is to his wife and where they are in their relationship. Now Netra refusing to understand it is a whole different thing.

Mr. Kanitkar and the words that come out of his mouth when he is mad have been a terrible, terrible combination from the very beginning. From the very beginning but this time… all the limits have been crossed.

Mrs. Kanitkar will eventually forgive him. Like always. And even we might but we can only wonder how Mr. Kanitkar will bring himself to forgive himself once the realization sinks in.

Itni aasani se guilt chhodega nahi Mr. Kanitkar ko. And for a change, I do want that guilt and regret to suffocate him every now and then even after things get sorted.

For once, Mrs. Kanitkar might completely let go of his words but I would seek a sadistic pleasure in watching Mr. Kanitkar hold on to the memories of the vicious words that he had picked for her. I would enjoy Mr. Kanitkar staying up till late, watching her sleeping in his arms and expressing his remorse to her every once in a while.

Also acknowledging that had she been immature the way he has always termed her to be, she wouldn’t have been with him after all that he has said and done to her. Also accepting that had the roles been reversed and had she said all that he had said to her – he might not have been able to let it go the way she has.

Mr. Kanitkar is being a rational fool at the moment and once everything will sink in – he will have to drown himself in guilt, scrub his thoughts that do not let him see her for who she is, clean his mind with the potion of realization, acknowledgment and regret and come out to clean himself with the elixir of her forgiveness.
