From the very beginning, he had always played on the front foot, not letting even a single chance go to let everyone see what his heart held for her.
Even when her mother had firmly stood against their relationship, he hadn’t let anything shake the foundation of their relationship that was his love.
And now – he had come to the point that demanded him to not just hide his every delicate feeling for her within himself but also create a believable sham of his hardened heart toward her.

The universe that he had relentlessly woven day and night for them to reside in for the rest of their life that used to have echoes of only smiles and laughter now had only their deafening sobs and hysterical cries.
He had left her for a couple of hours. Just a couple of hours. He could have never imagined that the punishment of those couple of hours was going to be so ghastly.

The forever that he once couldn’t wait to have was now the forever that he despised with all his might!
